Hope and Carly - they don't know each other?

Hi you all... I know I missed some years here and there but really thought that Hope and Carly would know each other. Help me out here.

Hope and Carly never actually met. Hope "died" in 1990. I think Bo met Carly in 1990, but they broke up in 1992 or 1993 before Carly left. Bo ended up with Billie, Carly ended up leaving town with Lawrence i think in 1993.
Hope then came back from the dead in 1994, so they never met.
What I am surprised about is that Bo and Hope are suppose to have an honest relationship, and I think Bo would have told Hope all his discretions while she was "dead". (that includes Carly). So I thought Hope would have known about Carly, just never meeting her. But it seems to me she doesnt even know about Bo's history with Carly?
