The writing on the wall to me says "triangle". They will do an EJ/Sami/Rafe triangle because it seems to be all that DAYS knows how to do. They don't know how to keep Sami with one man and keep it interesting.
Quote Snore:
Quote Sunnydaz:
Quote Snore: Sami loves who the writers say she loves, & it seems to change fairly regularly. The fact that she's about to 'reunite' with Rafe after a pretty short separation seems to indicate these two probably don't have that much longer. What are they going to do, sit around & raise EJ's babies, or maybe Rafe will adopt them? There is just no s/l potential there. If there was long term potential, it would be Sami & Rafe's child at the center of this major s/l reveal.
Just because they have a child together (if in fact the writers keep it that way) doesnt mean they belong together long term. If that was the case Lucas and Sami would be together since at this point we know Will and Allie are theres.

ps: interesting screen name you have btw
Something is wrong with the quotes I think. But you make a good point about Sami & Lucas. The reveal of Will as Lucas' child was a major s/l and for years after that Sami & Lucas were involved in front burning stories. Sometimes they were a couple, sometimes not, but Lumi was, & might again, be a huge part of days just as EJami is. I just see Rafe as more of a Brandon Walker character . . . here today, gone tomorrow.
If that were true they just had the PERFECT opportunity to make Rafe gone and floating down the river for good. Doesnt look that way now. So i think he's here to stay.

I agree, Sunny, and DOOL. The writers have changed Sami's character since she was with EJ and IMO, they are not going to change her back to the way she once was. She has grown and matured and accepted responsibility for her mistakes. She has found a man,Rafe, who loves and respects her for who she is and doesn't care about what was in her past. He will do anything for her and her kids, including risking his own life. He is the good guy and the hero in this story, much like Bo. His love for Sami is UNCONDITIONAL.
On the other hand, we have EJ, who is the same person he was when he slithered into Salem 3 1/2 years ago. He is still seeking revenge, plotting, and scheming, kidnapping and attempting murder. He accepts no responsibility for any of it and is more concerned with himself than ANYONE. He thrives on power and control of others. He is moving farther to the dark side than ever before.
As far as no Hernandez family in Salem:

****SPOILERS***
It is for sure that the younger sister is coming this month and rumored that there will be more Hernandez siblings coming in the future. IMO, they are establishing them as a family who will be staying in Salem.

I think EJ is getting a raw deal from some of these posts. It truly AMAZES me that he is getting trashed all the time, when Sami is a liar, Nicole is a liar, Mia is a liar, Stephano is a liar, and he is the ONLY ONE telling the truth about his feelings, which, are getting trampled on by the above mentioned liars. I have come to realize that the show is ALOT like real life, not as far fetched at all, because lying is so common nowadays, and many feel sorry for the liars and make excuses for them in our victimhood society. So how could we expect in a fictional soap world for the characters to act with any sense of personal resposibility- if we did, then there would be now show. That said, I am starting to dislike the "new" Sami so much because she is just alot like Nicole, except with a sugar coating and more respectability among the characters in the show, that I wish EJ would find a better woman than her, not one who calls him a good father one minute, then trashes him the next. I just don't get how Sami's past and Nicole's past are so easily forgotten to make EJ conviently the villian- it makes no sense. If one character's history of lying, etc. can be forgotten in certain circumstances (Sami), then how come EJ's every last move, even when he hasn't been the one lying in this storyline, is treated as if he is the bad guy? I think I need to stop watching this show.

I respect your opinion but wasn't it just a couple of months ago that he had Stephani kidnapped? And less then that he was going to try to take Johnny away from Sami. Now his latest thing is becoming a drug lord? I think Ej is far from being reformed or likely to be a good guy. He is his fathers son afterall and he's directly connected to crime.

Nicole is a liar yes and has a very shady past but she did what she did because she's like Ej and loves him. Kookoo but nevertheless never in denial that he would have not married her otherwise.

Sami was all you said but is cleaning up her act now. She hasnt continued this road for a long time. She's turning her life around. I personally dont forget the nasty mean things she has done in the past but she's not doing those types of things now. Not like Ej and Nicole.

Sammie and EJ are two peas in pod and deserve each other, but I think the best choice of all would be to have Sammie end up with Nicole and let Sidney be raised by both her mothers.....bet all the homophobes on here love that idea : )

you were hit as bad posted but i'm diein to comment so its a copy and paste

Many interesting points in your post. I think basically it boils down to an intense & often irrational hatred some fans have for EJ. EJ is a great soap character, & James does an amazing job portraying him. Soap operas were made for characters like EJ DiMera. Characters like EJ make the genre work.

I think sometimes people think EJ is living next door to them, waiting to kidnap their daughter or something . . . otherwise I don't get the hatred for a fictional character, especially when, like you said, the past deeds of so many other characters are completely overlooked. Or a character with no personality at all is hailed as a hero b/c he finally strings a few coherent sentences together.

Believe me i do think James is a good actor but i believe your last sentence is considered actor bashing......GG is a fine actor and a very good match for the "new" Sami.....trust me he has a fine fan base that is growing everyday.....i'm sure that is hard to swallow and makes your skin crawl but its true.....oh and in my opinion.....soap operas werent actually "made" for one particular "type" of character they were made for all types even good guys "heros" like Rafe.

Well damn my post disappeared so thanks for copying & pasting.

I think heroes is spelled HEROES . . . but however you spell it, Rafe has been knocked senseless by one girl & rescued by another and a hero he is not. If I am supposed to be buying what Rafe is selling as heroic, the writers have misjudged the expectations of me a large portion of their audience. I guess they figure we sat through Marlena possessed by the devil, ten years of Lumi madness, & alien twins dropping from the sky so we'll snooze through Rafe as a 'hero.'

LOL heros heroes whateva....but good thing u spell it the same as me.....as you can see by my post with quote...any how who...you are making fun but you are still watching even tho you sat throught Marlena possessed by the devil, ten years of Lumi madness, & alien twins dropping from the sky....so get your pillow you should be ready for your next ride

Gosh, I have never seen you post on this site before. It is interesting that you would think or know that I am a high school teacher. I won't even dignify your statement with a response.

OK, I have to disagree a little with the Safesters who say Sami has changed, matured, taken responsibility for her past misdeeds, or not gone down "this road" for a while. The woman gave $10,000 to Nicole to help Nicole kidnap a child that does not belong to her, to help Nicole escape with a baby that's not hers in order not to have to face the child's "real" parents. And did Sami take responsibility for that? LOL. No, she thinks what she did was right and went so far as to prove that by chastising Brady for not helping Nicole to break the law by dipping into his big wallet. Doesn't matter to me that Sami is acting out of grief, relating to Nicole, whatever. She helped someone work a scheme to break the law and isn't sorry for it. Thank God Sami has not totally changed.

I agree with you. My own opinion is that EJ is the only one who's trying to do the right thing, by realizing he has no legal right to Sydney and has to give her up. He gets bashed for not doing the "DiMera" thing and using his power and influence to illegally keep Sydney. Instead, his pushing Sydney away is seen as "throwing" her away, when he's 1) identifying with Chad not being able to parent his child and 2) he's just trying to get the separation over with as quickly as possible. What good would it do for him to pretend he's her father? D*mned if he does, d*mned if he doesn't. Everyone else is lying and getting a free pass in this storyline. Even Mia is turning into a liar (even though she's being manipulated into doing so). Nicole has everyone on her evil side except EJ, and yet EJ is seen as the bad guy.
