Days of Our Lives - MESSAGE BOARDS

Been home with the flu all week..ugh. Since I tivo Days which I've watched since 1978 I channel flipped and checked out One Life To Live which I know very little about.

Gotta tell ya the writing was far superior. The May/December romance of Dorian Lord and David Vickers is funny, the whole gay marriage story is socially relevant and written in a way that is light hearted and serious at the same time. The show in general was much better than DOOL. Think I'm going to re-program my tivo when I go back to work on Monday.

Really nice to see a soap be socially relevant and entertaining, just wanted to share. - thanks

Certainly not wanting to stir anything up, as I've stated, I've watched Days since 1978. It's the only soap I watch so it has certainly had my loyalty as undeserved as it is sometimes.

I don't get a chance, nor have I really had the interest to check out other soaps so I was surprised at how much better the writing was on the other show. It was, at least for the few shows I saw far superior. It kind of made me sad that I continually lower my standards to be loyal to Days. just my opinion - chill

i definitely think oltl wins my vote because everytime i watch dool its same thing with nicole lying to ej i decided to change shows because the characters in oltl r so much better than dool (like layla and cris from oltl i jus love them)
