Hope mentioned the other day that she didn't want to stay at Doug & Julie's because they were leaving on a cruise. It was mentioned in another post that she could have stayed in Alice's house and used that set. How messed up is this writing?

If they are going to pursue this badly contrived s/l why not have Hope be at one of these places? It would add a good layer to let Doug and Julie have some scenes with Hope trying to help her and be understanding. Look at all the obstacles they have overcome thru the years.

As for Alice, what a waste, we all know that sweet Francis Reed is not coming back to the show as she is too frail. Why not address the difficulties of dealing with an aging relative and have her move to a nursing home leaving the house empty for Hope?

I know the writers are doing this to put Justin and Hope under the same roof, but there are better ways to put them in constant proximity of each other without having this horribly contrived bs of Hope moving into Victors and not being true to her character or the Hortons. Do we really think Doug and Julie would just leave on another cruise ( it's always the writers lazy answer for them) and let Hope move into Victors?

The writing on this show IMO has improved in many ways over the last several months, and now this, moving them back into the position of all time lows again. How does Corday expect this show to get renewed if this is what he is allowing to air?

Ok, sure! Although I am a defender of Hope's viewpoint regarding recent events, I agree that the writers manufacturing a way for her to be in close proximity to Justin is just contrived and not believable.

Hope's got money of her own and plenty of Horton properties to go to where she didn't have to take charity from Victor, like she no where else to go. And so what Doug and Julie are going on a cruise? She's a big girl with a child of her own, she could stay in a house by herself.
