Ok during the Colleen / Santo storyline Stephano wanted EJ & Sami together bad enough that he was going to end the vendeta if they would marry. So what changed his mind? Was it because she divorced EJ? Was it just because he wanted her stem cells back then? I don't get why he is so opposed to EJ loving Sami now if he was forcing him to love Sami then? What's your opinion?

It was clarified that it was due to him wanting the stem cells!

that is a good question. i don't really know either...but if i had to try and explain my guess would be this:, i would say that given the story between santo and colleen, santo wanted revenge for colleen hurting him and on his death bed he told Stefano to start this vendetta. Stefano was just a young boy when Santo requested this from him. maybe at the time, Stefano realized (or a moment of insanity lol..) that it was the end of an era. and maybe if EJ and Sami got married like Santo and Colleen should have then it would put everything to rest. then after Stefano agreed to end things (if the two married) alot of things happened....Marlena made him a veggie boy, Sami and EJ divorced, and Sami hid her pregnancy from EJ...i would think those sort of things would make a man like Stefano mad again!! lol..

this doesn't really make any real sense, but it's the best i can come up with.

That is a good question. I think part of it actually is the change in writers and less focus on the "vendetta". And maybe secretly Stefano wants the vendetta to continue.

I also think part of it is that before Sami gave birth to Johnny, Stefano felt that he could influence Sami and EJ to raise their child as a DiMera according to what Stefano believes is a "good" DiMera. Then, after Johnny was born, it was obvious that Sami didn't want Johnny anywhere near Stefano, so I think his opinion changed because he figured out Sami wasn't going to let Stefano influence her child-raising skills. And that's why he wants Sydney to be kept a secret. Because he knows as soon as the truth is out (Coming soon! Yay!), Sami's going to get Sydney as far away from Stefano as she can. Just my thoughts. I know it's a lot of theorizing but that's all I can come up with.

Sami and EJ are supposed to come to an understanding, but that is before she knows the truth about Sydney. I wonder if that understanding will be in tact once she finds out? At this point, all she knows is that the Dimeras, except for Johnny, are out of her life. Now that Sydney is hers and a Dimera, the problem starts all over. After the things Stefano said to her on Thursday, I think Sami will be wanting to keep Syd as far away from Stefano as possible. That coupled with the fact that EJ is now deeper into the drug business-- could prove interesting.
