Unfortunately I don't believe we have seen all the twists and turns in this storyline. Here's a crazy thought I had... What if...

Snydey isn't who everyone thinks she is. What if Stefano had Doc Baker switch babies and the real DiMera hire is in the Bahama (I think that's where Baker was) somewhere and the money that Doc Baker asked for for his "gambling debts" was actually the payoff for securing the real DiMera heir with the "chosen family"... and Stefano ordered the hit on Doc Baker because he's the only one other than Stefano that knows the truth...

And because Doc Baker didn't really die he will come back on the scene unbeknownst to Stefano, get the message out to Sami that her baby lives... starting a whole new twist to the storyline...

anyone think I am on to something or simple crazy???

I hope not, i am soooo tired of this storyline

There is some room in the story for Sydney not to be Mia's or Sami's baby.

Looking back at the video of Sydney's birth, you see Dr. Baker delivering Sami's baby and saying that she's not breathing. Was she or wasn't she? Was it even a she? He runs out of the room with the baby.

Next scene, Dr. Baker is in another room working on A baby. Nicole just assumed (and all of us) that it was Sami's baby that he was working on.

He could have handed Sami's baby off to someone, perhaps a nurse; and gone into that room to work on another baby that was in trouble before Nicole got there. (It could even have been Nicole's baby that was on a respirator all this time or something.)

That was the only window of opportunity Dr. Baker had for a switch like that.

I am hoping beyond all hope that they just stick with the story line as it is.

It will be awesome to see how Nicole and Sami work this one out when the truth is discovered.

Oh goodness your scenerio scares me quite a bit. I mean i want the freaken secret out already. this is one of the things i hate about soap operas, they DREAD things on and on and on and on.

I think what you just wrote could be BIG possibility. Becuase Dr Baker isnt dead i assume since his finger twitched unless that was just a tease.

HOwever if Stefano knew all along where EJ's kid was, i think he's a very horrible father for keeping EJ's flesh and blood away from him. he has no say in over somebody else's children. its like he can't get it out of his head that famliy isnt a possession its a gift. he always preaches how he loves his family and waited until the last minute to declare his love for Toni when he died. I don't know, Stefano always surprises us.

When Sami gave birth, Baker told her it was a girl but it wasn't "breathing", which we all knew the baby was fine--he just needed an excuse to get that baby out of the room before Sami saw what she looked like..so he could go in the back and swap babies. And that's what he did. He showed them side-by-side. He put one baby down and took the other baby in.

And Stefano DiMera has an heir already. Johnny. We don't need anymore DiMera kids. Phooey!

I keep hoping Johnny turns out to be Lucas's afterall..because come on, twins belonging to 2 different fathers? She would have had to sleep with them within the same day. But it's a soap...so..blah blah blah.

I strongly think they are going to roll with the current plan. I just feel bad for Mia. She got very pressured into this by that beotch Nicole and is still being manipulated. And I do want SAFE back, but I wouldn't mind a Lucas/Sami reunion. EJ is just...blah. Don't like him. Don't like his temper, or what his family is. Criminals, sneaky, dirty. I think Rafe is going to recover and blow this thing finally out of the water. I think either Stefano or Nicole is going to do some swapping with that paternity test Chad wants. I sooo badly want Nicole to just get busted for everything now! I agree....this has draaaggged out...and is getting kinda boring.

Seems most of us are tired of this s/l and want happy families at least for a wee bit. I love Rafe and Sami together. Lucas is annoying and AJ is one mean scary bad temperted man. He is a very bad example of a British Gentleman. He needs therapy . and Nicole needs to get treatment too! so all fixed....LOL

I hope it really is Mia's baby( or even Nicoles). Sammi has already greaved over the loss of Grace. I think to find out she wasn't even hers would just add insult to injury! imo

(It really could be Nicoles baby! When Billie had Chelsea in the Bayou she was under 6 months along and had no medical care but Lo and behold look how healthy CHelsea is. So it really is possible!!imo)

That NURSE just might be the whole kicker. Rafe mentioned in one scene that she was a single mom, and I think there was a scene where Rafe called her and there was a baby in a high chair. Maybe the Nurse has either Sami's or Nicole's baby?

Oh my... I hope Sydney IS Sami's baby... I am SO ready for this story line to get over already! Let's not give the writer's any ideas about this one shall we and end it already!
