Days of Our Lives - MESSAGE BOARDS

I have not had much luck in getting people to respond to any of my posts (even though tehy have been accurate)...so I want all of you to tell me, good or bad, how you would write Days. What story lines would you give to the characters, what people would you bring in to support your stories (detectives, forensics, pschologists, etc...)How would you save this show from cancellation?

This one takes a lot of thought, so I might have to come back later and add some.

I think brining back Carly is a stroke of genius. I've watched Days most of my life and loved, loved, loved, when she was with Bo (way more than with Billie). I think if the writers really come up with something good with this storyline, this could be what saves Days. I think plenty of people are sick of Hope, so, if they come up with a nice ROMANTIC s/l between Bo and Carly (not some contrived love triange/square/octogon, etc) it would be really fun to watch. A really good mystery involving why she killed Lawrence (or not) that would take them all over the world, in nice romantic settings, would be fun. And Bo waffling between "Did she do it" and "She didn't do it".

I am also liking the dynamic between Kate and Stefano. IMO, being married to Stefano is worse than prison, but it might really be fun if they fell in love for real. If they spent some time together plotting against people they hate (Victor, for instance) and had a fun time doing it, that would be fun to watch. But it would have to be something smart and believable- the poisoned apple didn't do it for me.

I really think they should get rid of some characters that people have a hard time investing in (for me- Chloe, the teens, Stephanie) and bring back John and Marlena. They are obviously still missed and really could have important roles in certain s/l's. I liked John when he was a spy. It would be neat to see him hunt somebody down- a real complex character- and have Marlena use her doc magic on him/her to get information out of them.

Those are just some ideas to throw out there. But when it comes down to it, I really wish the writers would come up with something worthy of the intelligence or their audience and focus on romance and fun instead of dead/kidnapped children/baby switches/bad people always getting away with their crimes.

actually i like alot of the young ppl ive prolly been watching for about 10yrs and i think theyve had some real talent come through especially chelsea and melanie im sad no more chelsea but i love melanie!!!

Here is my storyline:

Carly is protecting someone she loves. I would definitely make this a chld. A boy child who is a Zack look-alike. We all know that Hope became pregnant with Zack while being held in captivity by Stephano.

Lawrence wanted to have another child with Carly, but Carly's eggs were not viable, so Lawrence paid Stephano to harvest one of Hope's eggs and Carly was implanted with Zack's twin because they did not realize the egg had already been fertilized.

Carly found out within the last year or so that she gave birth to Bo and Hope's child. Carly wanted to tell them. She loved the son that she raised for the past 13 years, but felt they had a right to know, especially since he was an identical twin to the child that they lost.

But, Lawrence stopped her by beating her up and locking her in that room. The boy somehow found out about it and ran away to find his real parents. The "visions" that Bo was having that had Zack in them were real. He has been living down at the docks and watching and hiding. The few times that he reavealed himself to Bo, he just let Bo think that he was Zack.

WOWee, what a great storyline idea! Too bad you're not on staff, I'd love this to come true!

I am also loving the idea of bringing Carly back..I also am very excited about Vivian returning- I would like to see her team up with Victor to finally bring Kate to justice. I would also write into the storyline that Chad is really Nicholas, and as punishment for Carly,Lawrence sent him back to the states, where he was adopted by his current parents. And as other people have speculated, Mia turns out to be Nichole's daughter. I would like to see them bring back some of the charctors from the past, Melissa, Pete, Kristen, Peter, and of course Susan Banks and Eugene.and where the devil is Celeste?

Id like to see a s/l about the ISA again and maybe Shayne and Kim to Come(for a short period of time) They could introduce one (or more of their kids to stay with Caroline. Id like to see Eve return, or Sammi's BFF from HS. Id like Jack and Jen to come back(even if it means a m=new Jen(and bring Abby too)

I think Vivian marring Victor so the two of them are pitted against Kate and Stefano would be great fun. I also think keeping Faye Walker in the mix opens up a lot of possibilites. Viv and Faye against Kate or Faye working undercover with Roman and Abe to nail Stefano.
Put a chip in Lucas's brain and have him be Stefano's pawn without Kates knowledge could be fun.
For short term, put the characters of Alice and Mickey to rest and bring back many old cast memebers for the event. Use it to start a mystery for the Hortons about something found in Alice's attic. Bring Shawn & Belle back to be front burner in the s/l
Let an obsessed Nick get out of jail to cause some havoc for Melanie and crew.

Roman/Anna/Tony/Carrie/Rafe

- Anna comes back to Salem to ask for Roman's help. She has been getting Mysterious letters from an unknown person and wants him to investigate. Meanwhile, Carrie returns to Salem with a 2 year old little boy (Her and Austin's child) and tells everyone that that she and Austin are legally separated. She says he became too involved with his work and continued to neglect her and their little boy Gavin. She later meets Rafe who has just broken up with Sami (again) And they start to bond over heartbreak and old relationships. Carrie later reunites with both her parents and learn of the mysterious letters her mother has been getting. Roman and Anna tell Carrie and Rafe that their going to the location where they have traced the letters to. Carrie wants to help and Rafe offers his services as well. So all four journey to a strange island and discover that the letters have been sent by none other than Tony Demeria who is alive and well. He tells them that he faked his death in order to get away from Stefano and the family business. He wanted to let Anna in on his plan but he didn't want to put her in any danger. He knew if Anna had know about his plan then Stefano would have sensed something was up and then he would have never left them alone. Tony then says that he couldn't bare to live without Anna so he decided to send her letters and he knew that she would find a way to come back to him. But Anna has now stared to develop feels for Roman and is torn between Him and Tony..Who will she pick? Meanwhile Carrie and Rafe have also stared developing feelings for each other and they are worried what Sami will do when she finds out about it..


Chloe/Daniel

Chloe and Daniel leave Salem and decide to make a fresh start...

Stephine

Stephine gets an exciting new job offer and leaves Salem to work at this new job and be closer to her Parents and little Joe.

Philip/Melanie/Mimi/Nathan

Melanie finally chooses Philip over Nathan and they began to start a "new life" together but before long Mimi returns to town with Little Tyler and tells Philip that his adoptive parents are Dead and the state found her Her and she won custody of him. Mimi then tells Philip she wants him to be a part of Tyler's life. Philip is shocked and tells Melanie of the recent turn of events and she is not sure if she is ready to play "mommy" to a child. She then meets Mimi who disapproves of her b/c of the Sex video and she tells Mel. to stay away from her son...A crying Mel. then runs to Nathan who comforts her and then she feels torn by the 2 men..

Bo/Hope/Shawn/Belle

A mystery person comes to town and starts setting buildings on fire putting various characters in Danger. A new fire unit comes to Salem in order to combat all the recent fires. Hope becomes trapped in one of the burning building a is rescued by a masked fire fighter who turns out to be Shawn D. ! He tells he and Bo that he recently became a fire fighter and he just join the fire unit in Salem! Bo and Hope are thrilled to have their son back in there lives.
The mystery arsonist is reveal to be a new recurring character named Coop who is a part of the Salem Fire unit and is best friends with Shawn and Belle. He goes crazy and kidnaps Belle and Claire says that he and Belle should be togther and he wants to be Claire's new father! Belle tells him he is crazy and she is then rescued by Shawn D. who fights with Coop and turns him into the police.
