I agree Magic---EJ sure isn’t acting like a amazing, wonderful, astounding, and remarkable man or father right now!

I don't dispute that JS is a good actor and that he portrays a villain very well. But I do think that all the actors portray a character the way they are told to by the directors and producers of the show. I am sure the writers write certain characters the way they do for a purpose, and we may soon see the purpose of that.

In Ej's defense: I did not think EJ grabbed Nicole in a chokehold. He kind of had her by the face and shoulders so that she would look him in the eye and tell him the truth. It was almost as if he sensed that as long as she kept turning away from him, she just had more time to come up with different lies. She was lieing, and lieing, and lieing! Out of frustration, he had to grab her like that and make her focus in order to get the real truth out of her. In this one particular scene, I did not see it as abusive. He was angry, but also determined to know what was going on.

That being said, the character of EJ is being written as kind of selfish. He is only thinking about how the actions and deceits of others have hurt EJ, how angry EJ is, how betrayed EJ is, the losses that EJ has suffered, how EJ was fooled and lied to.

He is not seeing the other side of the coin as in how his own actions have affected others, including Sami and Nicole, and Johnny, and Sydney, and Grace. Even Stephanie who was once his friend. He did not even care if she lived or died as long as he won the battle in the Kiriakis/DiMera war that he and his father created. It all comes down to his turning a blind eye to everything except his quest to become his father's son and inherit all the power and wealth that goes with it.

Yes, he loves Sydney, but he thinks she is not of DiMera blood. He thinks and believes that her real parents might just show up and take her away, which will of course HURT EJ even more so he wants to break all ties now and get it over with. He is a lawyer. If he really loves Sydney and Nicole, then he could take steps to make the adoption legal. Chad and Mia are teenagers. If he is behaving like a responsible father and husband, then he would have a much better chance of convincing them to sign the papers.

If he is behaving like an angry jerk, then there's no way Chad is going to let his daughter stay with that family.

I agree with you on most points, but I did see EJ put his hand on Nicole neck, his thumb and fingers were under her ears, and that is not acceptable behavior even for a soap opera, there are other ways to get Nicole’s attentions!

I love Ej's acting! Like Ive said all along he is crazy. I know if I went through what he is going through I would be PO to. But no man should ever lay a hand on a women! I still think Nicole and EJ will be together in the end. I think they are fit for each other. I do like the Brady, and the Nicole scenes together. But I do think Brady is to nice for Nicole. I love watching Day's right now!

thank you chrissi...SO FUNNY, cause yesterday morning I was so impressed cause I made an EJ thread and people were being really civilized. people were giving their opinions and that was it...then shortly after that, it all went to hell..lol...

oh man...when Sami asked him if he wanted to hold his daughter, and he said that he shouldn't and to give her to Nicole, I wanted to smack my tv!!! lol...i sure hope he can find a way to put his anger aside, and realize it's Nicole's fault, not sydneys, otherwise he's totally going to regret it when he finds out everything.

Here's my question, what's with men assaulting woman on Soaps lately? First we have EJ grabbing Nicole by the throat on Days and then we have Johnny grabbing Claudia by the head on GH .. I think some soaps are starting to cross the line..

EJ told Lexi today that he loves Sydney, but he knows he will lose her b/c as far as he knows, she is someone else's child & Nicole did not legally adopt her. According to an interview Ari Zucker gave,

EJ will tell Nicole that he has reconsidered & wants Sydney in his life, but not Nicole. In the same interview Ari alludes to Nicole manipulating/seducing Chad to try & keep him from going after Sydney. Ari also says Nicole is delusional b/c she thinks she is going to be able to put her family back together. So, I don't think the Nicole/EJ pairing will be revisited, but Sydney's future is up in the air for sure.
