what the heck is going on? okay, so all this evidence against daniel goes away as well as his charges, because chloe is alive and well and tells everyone that he daniel wouldn't and didn't do it? so that means the whole case is thrown out and forgotten?

and now, everyone thinks that kate did it, although no real proof ( and even less flimsy) than the proof that they had on daniel, and since no one can proof it so she's free too and no one will take the attempted murder of chloe closely and serious anymore and all is forgotten, HUH and DOUBLE HUH?

since when does this happen in life, i know it's soapland, but this is even dumber and more unrealistic than usual, not to mention all this build-up of this storyline and now it's well that's that?!!

You are right on. Where the heck is Kate's punishment??? Everyone is talking about her attempt to murder Chloe. I don't care whether-or-not there is evidence; I want to see Kate sweat instead of going out to lunch with Stefano as if nothing has happened. Screwy!

Chloe cleared Daniel and Stephano "cleared" Kate (for now). Ok, so it puts the storyline on hold, but does this mean it's over? I don't think so. Salem PD's finest are too busy with their personal domestic to be doing police work and having the evidence checked again from a different angle.

But, EJ told Kate that whatever Stephano made disappear, he can make re-appear. An omen of the future? Maybe...
