who should return for christmas

Why do we always want the old characters to come back? Why can’t we move on with the characters that are on the show now, in time we will grow to love them, like we do the old timers!!! Life is about moving forward not backwards.

I definitely think John and Marlena should return, but just be recurring characters. They should have it all together, live free of Stephano's interference, and just be supporting characters and good grandparents to Sami's kids. Kind of like Maggie is now.

I would like to see Carrie and Austin return as well as Shane and Kimberly.

I HOPE Mrs. Horton is going to make an appearance this year.

Julie and Doug could possibly return.

I would doubt that we will see Alice Horton, as I read that she is not in good health at all. I think we need to remember that maybe some of the vets don't want to return to DAYS for various reasons. I love Doug and Julie, but Doug is in his 80's and he may not want to be on often. I don't think some of them want to be part-timers, and DAYS has made it clear that they cannot afford to hire them full time.
I think the show is trying to go back to some of the family values that were popular in the past, but with new characters and couples. IMO, that is why they have changed Sami's character and paired her with someone like Rafe.
I would like to see the show have the Christmas ornament family thing with Maggie as the person in charge. Then they could have all the families of the Hortons, etc. there.

Steve and Kayla. When they leave, they can take Stephanie with them to babysit Joe.

Kimmy and Shane.

Since time is going by very fast and we should begin to "celebrate" the works of the verterans on the show a lot more. It was confirmed a few weeks ago that Doug and Julie would be returning. I would def. like to see Alice Horton return (as many of you do), but that may not be possible. We are likely going to see maggie, but Mickey should return! What has happend to him? We also should see Caroline Brady involved with the Brady Christmas. The shows veterans should be celebrated and not just "passed by". Hopefully if Alice can't make it, there would be a better tribute to her than there was last year.

John Clarke, Mickey, either Mike (Wesley Eure or Roark Critchlow) Melissa, Sarah,Jennifer, Abby, Jessica and Marie.
One would not be able to bring that many people back....
As for Brady family; Rex and Cassie, Eric, Frankie .... and JT. David and Scotty, John and Marlena too. Not everybody!

---Kim and Shane heard divorced she married again, maybe divorced that guy got back with Shane.

I love the show the way it is right now...and yes for DOOL to stay successful us older people that have watched for years have to accept the show with all these new chacacters...but still I think that bringing home a few family members for the Holidays is an outstanding idea...I mean afterall we do that for real...so I heard Doug and Julie are already planning on coming to Salem...but for me it would definitely be nice if Steve & Kayla would come to Salem...and Jack & Jennifer.
