According to spoilers I have read, Carly is on her way to Salem in a boat. She spots Rafe floating in the river and fishes him out. Carly is a doctor, so she saves his life.

My guess is that she probably does not know who he is, but she does know that someone tried to kill him. He is probably unconscious for awhile because of several concussions he received from Meredith.

She takes care of him, but she really wants to turn him over to his family or put him somewhere where he will be safe. However, she does not want to be seen by anyone because she herself is "on the run."

So, she contacts Bo hoping he will know who Rafe is and can help her return him to his home or take him to a hospital.

Of course Bo knows who he is, and Bo helps him thus opening the door for Bo and Rafe to become friends.

I've always thought that Bo and Rafe were a lot alike in personalities, and that they need to give Bo a replacement friend since Steve left.

Bo is broken up with Hope because of trust issues, and Sami and Rafe are broken up because of trust issues so that could be common ground for them. They are also both in law enforcement. And, they were both involved in baby-switch situations.

Plus, Bo is Sami's family and he should be involved in helping to get ther baby back.

So, Carly being there as a vessel to get Bo and Rafe together is a good twist for me.

sounds like a great way to bring carly back! i used to love her and bo! they were great together.

bo and rafe are very similar ~ if rafe is going to stick around salem, then he needs some more connections.

Great. I had heard the part about Carly rescuing him while she was sailing back to Salem, but not the rest. This is good news!!!! I agree-- Rafe and Bo should become friends since he is a link with Sami.

as much as Hope is driving me crazy, I really hope there will not be a triangle with BOPE and Carly..this storyline does sound good though..who did she kill???

I would love to see Bo and Rafe as friends maybe even working together. Keeping Sami and Rafe close to family.
