Do you think the writers will try to redeem Kate ?

Do you think the writers will try to redeem Kate ?

I think the writers will try to redeem Kate. How is this possible you ask? Well I think the first step in this direction will be the beginning of some sort of "bond" between Kate and Theo if you watch the (9/25/09) episode you will know what I'm talking about... But I for one don't really care if the writers try to redeem Kate or not, I just want to see how her new Marriage will play out and I want to see her in scenes with Vivian when she returns. |

I don't think so. I think the writers have more 'justice' in store for Kate. This marriage to Stef is just the beginning of what's coming to her. As if that weren't punishment enough, she's got to deal with the rejection of her sons, AND she still has Viv heading straight for her like a freight train! I love it. |

The real question would be WHY would they need to redeem Kate? Kate falls into the "bad guys" category on the show (at least for me). They have shown us along the way that she is human, she does have feelings for others, she is not totally wicked to the core and she does have compassion for others besides just her family/sons. (some of the others I would put in this category I cant say this about.) But you dont cross her (as Victor noted) and certainly dont mess with her sons. |

Anway it will be very interesting to see how Kate uses her new position of power, even though she lost all freedom, she has gained major power. Also be interesting to find out exactly what is up Stefano's sleeve besides just wanting a trophy ...there must be more to this. Anyway a much better sl for Kate (I hope than some of the writing last spring with the posionings), Stefano and Ej (something that doesnt involves Sami or Nichole) I also do not think they will try to redeem her. I think wily Kate will find a way out of her marriage. I said in another post that I think she finds Stepahno's papers, from where he has had nichole investigated and finds out that Stephano knew all along that Sydney was Sami and E.J.'s child and blackmails him into destroying the evidence against her. I think she will walk away from that marriage, with a nice settlement, and her freedom. I think Stephano had a investigator on Nichole since the day she got with E.J. and even more so when she got preggers and I think Nichole will find the report from the investigator stating what Nichole did at the hospital to Sami. Why would they redeem Kate they never did in the past (except when she was homeless) I think she can still have a bond with Theo and still be bad. Look at Victor, he obviously loves Phillip and Caroline but as we all know Victor can be really bad. I think every "bad guy or gal" can have a soft spot. |

I think they will find a way somehow....most of the characters besides Stefano, get redeemed after they've done something bad....Chelsea, Sami (about a million times), Melanie, EJ, Lexi, Jack, Lucas, Kate, Victor, Nicole etc...you get the picture...lol...it seems like it doesn't matter how big the crime someone does, people eventually forget about it or forgive them and move on... |

Kate would be a bore if she was redeemed, babysitting for her grandkids and making humble pie. No thanks. |
