before the summer i thought i heard doug and julie was supposed to return in august

DOUG & JULIE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST ENDEARING COUPLES ON DAY TIME TV ! A BREATH OF FRESH AIR BETWEEN THE EXCITING DRAMA. BUT THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH DRAMAS OF THEIR OWN. WE LAUGH WITH THEM. CRY WITH THEM. AND SOMETIMES CRY WHILE WE'RE LAUGHING. NO ONE DOES IT LIKE DOUG & JULIE. SIMPLY SAID, THEY STEAL OUR HEARTS NO MATTER WHAT THEY'RE DOING. HERE'S HOPING THEY COME TO STAY !!!!! ROBYN

That would be oh so awesome. Since we can't have Tom and Alice any more, Doug and Julie would be the next best thing. And maybe they could talk to Hope about what it means to be married.[/quote]

YES, HOPE NEEDS A GOOD TALKING TO. THAT'S FOR SURE! WE REALLY MISS TOM AND ALICE. ESPECIALLY THAT TWINKLE IN ALICE'S EYE!!! CHARMING, LOVELY COUPLE. I'VE BEEN WATCHING SINCE 1977. MY MOTHER WATCHED FROM THE START.

For their past few visits the the Writers have turn them into a joke! Remember Doug dressed as Uncle Sam and Julie Dressed as B. Ross ? So stupid!

Robyn I oh so agree with all you said in this thread. Doug and Julie just make it all so right, and just flow together (may be why there real life marriage has worked for all these years) And they need to give Hope a good wake up call. She is showing her brat side again. Not to tell my age but I remember when Doug was with Hopes mom and Julie was the Diva of days. LOL

THANK YOU. I KNOW SO MANY PEOPLE WHO MISS DOUG & JULIE. AND YES THEIR REAL LIFE MARRIAGE IS IRON CLAD! SUCH HIGH RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER. THEY HAVE LOTS OF FUN TOGETHER! IT'S A TREAT WATCHING THEM!! They seem corny to me..

The last writing was corny and they even pulled that off and were a joy to watch. They are my all time favorite characters with both the actors and the characters having such a rich and juicy history.

When Julie's face caught on fire and they did that whole scar storyline - I was hooked. Doug and Julie could enhance any part of the DAYS canvas, Hope needs her family and they could have a blast with Stefano/Kate/Victor/Vivan - getting in the MIx wih Maggie/Nathon/Melanie - Guiding Sammie... think you guys get the point. THEY ARE THE BEST! and could be interwoven everywhere . Bring em back!

I remember Doug and Julie when Addie was still alive. That's the Doug and Julie I know...and that's what I will always remember about them. I love that they are married in real life and have been forever. I don't think it bothers either of them to dress up in silly costumes as long as they can still be part of the show...they ARE the Hortons...and I TA that Bo and Hope should settle down and be the fabric of the show, like Tom and Alice were..I thought it would be Mickey and Maggie, but that doesn't seem to work.
