I started out linking Sami and Dan, and I still like the idea. Lucas and Sami do make better friends than lovers. More and more people dislike Sami and EJ because they have too many lies and too much trouble between them, ie: the way Johnny was conceived, Stefano and Marlena, Stefano, EJ, and John's kidney theft, etc. Rafe has walked out on Sami too may times. If you get mad at your sig other, you don't walk out every time. You stay and hash it out, fight and make up. Every time something didn't go the way Rafe wanted it, or Sami did something Rafe did not like, he walked. Sami needs someone to love her the way Dan loves Chloe, but Chloe isn't the love Dan needs. He needs someone near his own age, and who will keep his life a little exciting, w/o being on her deathbed. Sami is that woman. She deserves that kind of love. The staying kind.

I love EJ with Nicole. That way EJ can be "bad" and Nicole loves him unconditionally.
Sami and Lucas are great as friends but not as lovers.
So I like Sami and Rafe. Her dream of him was sweet.

I have one word to say: RAFE!!!!!!! (With many exclamation points)

I have to say, I agree with my EJami family members...I've always loved Sami and EJ, ever since he came to Salem he's had my heart. He's done some crappy things but who in Salem hasn't? Attempted murder seems to flow freely in Salem. I love the friendship between Sami and Lucas. It's the best thing that's ever come out of that relationship (besides Will I guess but he can be a bit a of bore imo). I never cared for Lumi only because it felt like Lucas was always talking down to Sami. She was never quite good enough for him. I happen to like Sami a little feisty so I don't want her with anyone who is going to tone her down. Speaking of toning her down...I think Rafe does that too. I'm glad that she's maturing and all but I don't want Sami totally squeaky clean either. It sort of feels like Rafe bolts the moment things get a little rough and he needs to realize that life with Sami is always going to be "exciting". She's not a boring girl. She's impulsive and emotional, logic rarely weighs heavily in her decision making and if he can't handle that then he shouldn't keep her hanging on. It just seems like Rafe and Lucas both want her to be better than she is and they tend to be "disappointed" when she's who she is. EJ is the only one that seemed excited by her being her. He loves her feistiness.

So my answer after all that is EJ

I guess it's time to get off the wire and let my feelings be known, too. Here's how I'm thinking:
Sami and EJ do indeed have chemistry. But not all chemistry is good. If you add the wrong ingredients, things can blow up. I'm all about peace and happiness in a relationship and that ain't gonna happen with Sami and EJ.

Sami and Lucas do have a long history. But Lucas is not the man for Sami. She needs someone strong who will consider her needs. She's not going to ever get that from Lucas. He's too busy saying "Poor me" all the time.

So my choice is Rafe. He's a great guy, he loves her unconditionally, and he is going to bring her baby back to her. What more could a woman want? It's Safe all the way.

Why are there two threads with same idea!

I'm a diehard and brokenhearted LUMI. For years we Lumis waited through how many almost weddings? Finally Lucas and Sami are together and it isn't all about "sex" and chemistry but companionship and trust. When Bryan returned I had hoped for a Lumi reunion but instead we have a bitter unforgiving Lucas. First I want Lucas back. Then I want a LUMI reunion. They know each other, fight, makeup, have at least 2 kids together and like they both said when push comes to shove they are there for each other. When Sami and Lucas are on screen together, they are just so great to watch.
Sami with Rafe is OK, but Rafe was FBI and without the FBI he'll not be happy and Sami just doesn't have what it takes to be the wife of an FBI agent. EJ hates Rafe and won't want him around Johnny, too. I don't see this relationship being "workable."
Sami with EJ, sorry I don't want to be suspended for three days so I'll just say, I don't think so.
If there is no Lumi I'd like to see Sami get some education and career and just be happy being single with her children.

Rafe has proven many times that he truly loves Sami. As far as the Emily secret goes, I believe he's just doing his job. Anybody who's ever had anything to do with law enforcement personnel knows that there are things that you cannot discuss. I believe that the Emily secret is one of those things. With meredith back in the s/l, we'll find out sometime soon, hopefully, and then it will all be clear.
