She blamed Rafe and was angry with him for a long time. Rafe withdrew inside himself and went back to the FBI more determined than ever to bring down the mobsters. He was one hard, straight-up, by the book agent whose life ambition was only to bring down the bad guys. Then, he met Sami. Ooooh, I like that version much better...but you know there's always that raised from the dead plot soapwriters can use so that Rafe would need to make a choice. Oye! I hope that doesn't happen. I like it too! I just know the mob is going to be tied into this one way or another. I just can't wait to see how! |

Ya know, if Rafe is from a mobster family..that could be another reason he does not want Sami to know about his past...who else in Sami's life is from a mobster family...Ej and we all see how Sami wants a life with him right...LOL...so maybe in Rafe's mind, if Sami finds out about his family then he's out too. That's why he has to keep it a secret..also, if his family took out Emily, that is another reason to keep Emily a secret from Sami..Sami could fear for her life and her children's life, so it would be bye bye Rafe and he loves Sami, so if he keeps his past quiet, then he gets to keep Sami..if he lets her in, there is a great chance he could lose her. Interesting either way |

Quote P32007: Wow alot of Speculation going on and am sure some of it is probably on target but I could really care less about this story. I'm really not into Rafe's past or care much about his character and even less about Ari. He showes very little emotion and talks even less. Hopefully they speed this up cos he's really not interesting. Rafe and Ari seem like filler to me not very exciting. This is Ari's first acting gig before Days she did some Modeling. Her character is just annoying and I think she is wrong for this cast on Days and doesn't fit the role. jmo. Yes! This! I really don't think they will try & turn Rafe into a 'bad' guy. No way would that be believable. Bad guys have to get angry, be sinister, show a lot of emotion...and yeah, no way could he pull that off believably. |

Not the other theory where Rafe & Ari came from a mobster family. To pass the strict FBI requirements and background checks, I think that he couldn't be tied to a mob.  I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. You know, I like this theory!! Sound plausible. Also, in an interview in SOW, GG says that there is something that Rafe can't divulge. He doesn't, though, feel guilty about Emily's death, but he does feel bad and very conflicted about what happened. Rafe really loved her and she died under unusual circumstances. He is bound and determined to keep it under wraps and not let that secret get out. So,we know from this that Rafe did not kill Emily either by accident or any other means, although it may have been tied to his job with the FBI. I agree that Rafe is a straight up guy who goes by the book. I think in a way, he is afraid if Sami knows all the truth that she may get scared and leave him. We know that this week-- I think tomorrow-- that Stefano finds out what happened to Emily, but I am doubting that we will--- yet, anyway. |

I think Ari is definately involved in this. maybe even more than RAFE....Rafe was talking to Ari and even said that sometimes he feels like he should just tell Sami....and Ari nearly crapped her pants. lol...and at the end when he left he said something like "yeah, I loved Emily too." but the way he said it, it sounded like there was some anger and resentment behind it towards Ari....and maybe the only reason why he's keeping his mouth shut is to protect his sister. so yeah...i'm thinking Ari is somehow involved in Emily's death. |

OH!!! just thought of something else. MAYBE they don't want Sami digging around because Emily's not REALLY dead. maybe she is in the WPP, and has a new life, new name, all that..and Rafe isn't allowed around her cause it will jeopardize her safety, so he has to go around pretending she's dead. |

Gr8 ideas guys....I too like the theory stated above. Arianna definitely had something to so with Emily's death. Todays epi made me think she was responsible since Rafe says I would never do antyhing to hurt you....Intersesting..huh? |

Rafe killed her in a jealous rage after she wouldn't let him adopt her baby with another man. |

One day Emily is out with other friends in another part of town and Emily sees this guy with another girl. So Emily starts to follow him to get the dirt on him to tell Arianna. In the meantime Emily begins to realize that this guy is mixed up with some not so nice people. Emily sees him kill someone and realizes that he is tied to the Mob. This guy is really into Arianna as she is him, and when Emily tells Ari about her boyfriend Ari breaks it off with him. The guy stalks Arianna trying to get her back, but she refuses. So the guy goes after Emily because Ari let's it slip that Emily saw what he did. Ari tells Rafe and because Rafe has been trying to bring down the family, he puts Emily in protective custody. The mob has long arms, and their was a mole in the Bureau and the mob finds out that Emily and Rafe are getting married. They follow Arianna to the wedding and they take her out. Both Rafe and Arianna believe that Emily died that day, but the ISA has her and she is in hiding until the ISA can build a fool-proof case against the Mob... and in their undercover work they have enlisted Rafe, as they have tracked the Mob and the DiMera's have dealings with them. Also, the Mob they are trying to bring down are the Vitali's... and because Ava was involved with John, Rafe has to be hush hush to ensure no one gets wind of the assignment he is on. Could Rafe be using Sami to get the dirt on the DiMera's? But Ari blames herself for Emily's death because she led the mob to her... but in all senses... Emily is alive and well! Sorry so long Not a bad theory, I just choose not to believe Rafe is using Sami. I refuse to believe it! My heart could not take it!  But everything else is plausable!! Does anybody else think that all the suspense behind his past will just be a fizzle? Not such a big deal after all?....I wonder has days in the past build up something and then it isn't such as big bomb as everyone thought? I have only been watching since last summer.C'mon you hard core vets, what has happened in the past?

They have gone through too much for too long for him to just be using her for info, but I think he may still be protecting her-- he has made reference to protecting her several times. I think whatever is in his past has more to do with Arianna than Rafe. He is obviously protecting her, and I think whatever happened to Emily had to do with Ari. When Ari said to Rafe, "I know you love Sami,", he said," Yeah, I loved Emily, too.". The way he said it and the way he looked at Ari made me think that she is responsible and doesn't want her brother to expose her. He is protecting her and said he wouldn't let anything happen to her. Maybe she witnessed what happened???? |
