Quote magicsteacher: Ditto for me!
Quote SafenSound: As you can see it's just not you, however, this is an agree to disagree. SAFE all the way baby! ITA with you. There is chemistry between those two-- more than ever yesterday, IMO. So, I will agree to disagree with those who say no chemistry, too. |

Quote SafenSound: Quote magicsteacher: Quote AlaNurse: Sami & Rafe COULD SHOW the chemistry between them if the director gave them the same amount of non-stop interuption like they gave Sami &EJ in the one mutual sex scene. That ejami scene was orchestrated so well, and I will have to say they did an awesome performance. Just like the lovers scene Wednesday, Galen & Ali got about 2-3 minutes screen time to do a "quicky". Tearing off each others clothes was the only thing that was sexy. Now just how much time does that give actors to show what we want to see. I'll answer that. NONE. If any of you ever get to talk with one of the actor's ask them do they get to pick who will be in the scene with them and choose what they will be doing and how long the scene will last. I know, some of you do not like it when I analyze but it is the truth. Summed up...the actors do what they are told and directed to do. Some of us fans get the short end of the stick........ I agree with you. I read an interview awhile back with Galen and he said that you learn your lines and stage directions as how you think they should be said and done; however, when you are in rehearsal, they will often stop you and say no, that's not how we want it said/or done. Do it this way. So, Alanurse is correct- Ali and Galen are just doing what they are told and how they are told to do it. I agree that for some reason the writers and directors have not yet given them that direction for their love scenes yet or the screen time. There is only so much you can portray to the audience in a couple of minutes. Maybe they are building to that type of scene more slowly than with Sami and EJ. That was a one time thing-- this is ongoing. It's hard to tell what they have in mind. I agree with you both and don't forget that Days have editors that edit these scenes, so although they do what they are instructed to do, it's the editor(s) that make final cut for what gets shown. For ex. When Sami and Rafe were fighting on yesterday's epi, the part where she tells him that he didn't really know her in that she's complusive and she's just being herself and that if he couldn't understand that, then they have no future--notice they are no where near the front door. However, in their very next scene, you see them at the door and he closes it telling her the he's not leaving. It would lead me to think that perhaps she opened the door for him to leave but then we get to see where he closes it. So, that's why I say they may be taping A LOT more than what we know, but when aired DOOL shows us exactly what they want us to see. That's a great post. |

I agree with you about the sex scenes being scripted and directed. I will say that with the EJAMI sex scene James and Ali had some say in it BUT this rarely happens. Who can say how much of a say they had anyways but for the most part the directors staged it. However to me chemistry is not just in the love making or sex scenes. There has to be some sort of chemistry with the actors prior to that. There was a great point about GG with Mackenzie (Luis and Sheridan) on Passions. They had me at hello. There were sparks there and I liked them instantly. Rafe and Sami just has nothing IMO. I formerly was a LUMI but it took me a long time to get there. I like Sami with Brandon but when EJ came onto the screen again he and Ali had me at HELLO! I can speak to their scenes while getting to know each other when Sami only knew EJ as EJ Wells. Just them talking was hot as all get out IMO. Then when they briefly dated and ripped each other clothes off on the couch etc..They were just freakin HOT! GG and Ali just don't have that sort of chemistry IMO. Sorry I don't see it in or out of bed. |

Yeah this thread is about 'Chemistry' which Sami & EJ have in spades both in the sack & otherwise. |

Love Safe and their chemistry. I love the writing for this couple and i dont need to see one night stand sex to see the passion between them. They are loving to eachother even tho they are a newly together couple. I dont expect 1 single ejami to see that but no big diggity. I'm enjoying them. |

I would bet a lot of that sex scene was edited out. I remember a few days ago tha happened when Sami was going to take the kids and run. First they were outside her door and the next scene they were in the townhouse and she was saying, "we don't have time for this-- we have to get to the daycare before my grandma does." I noticed that in these past three days it seemed like they were trying to fit a lot in since they weren't going to be on for two days so things were crammed in. |

Quote LUMIFOREVERANDEVER: I certainly saw it in yesterday's show...it looked like they wanted to tear eachothers clothes off...oh wait, they did that I'm SO sorry Ejamis, but they have awesome chemistry. I used to be a diehard Lumi, but they are just really good friends. Anyway, I thought it was hot that they ripped eachothers clothes off! Lol! |
