I am not going to say they are boring, but I will say they have saved me a great deal of money since I am no longer taking my prescriptions for insomnia |

Quote Spunkyp: I'm an EJAMI fan all the way...but with all the die hard Safe fans, I wanted to see what the big fuss was about. I also really wanted to see if they have the same chemistry that EJAMI has. They didnt. I was so disappointed that I was starting to question thier acting abilities. They are both great actors, but together I didn't see it. Is it just me? It's not just you, friend. I'm an EJami fan til the sweet, sweet end I know is coming. But I did watch a bit of Safe... I just can't do it anymore. My DVR is off til I hear some amazing EJami spoilers... like EJ fantasizing about Sami again (I can't wait! I need to check the date on that one). I'd rather do housework than watch the show in it's current state. Plus, the other EJammer postings on this site will keep me up to date. |

I use to always ff through Safe when they were in witness protection because I was an ejammer (which they did have them into each other when she first went into wpp) and wasn't interested in them bringing in another man for Sami. Recently I started actually watching their scenes together thinking they really may be making these two "the" couple so I thought maybe if I give them a chance. |

LMAO!!! I just noticed that... LMAO! Fred's being a bad boy. I noticed the distance between them yesterday too. I know there has been a lot going on, but it seemed very strange..... |

Normally, I think Safe is cute, fun, and sweet and I saw the passion yesterday but when it was over, it was like they almost regretted it...not the normal Safe I am used to seeing. There was cute little banter but the feeling was lacking...just how I saw it. |

Sami & Rafe COULD SHOW the chemistry between them if the director gave them the same amount of non-stop interuption like they gave Sami &EJ in the one mutual sex scene. That ejami scene was orchestrated so well, and I will have to say they did an awesome performance. |

Just like the lovers scene Wednesday, Galen & Ali got about 2-3 minutes screen time to do a "quicky". Tearing off each others clothes was the only thing that was sexy. Now just how much time does that give actors to show what we want to see. I'll answer that. NONE. If any of you ever get to talk with one of the actor's ask them do they get to pick who will be in the scene with them and choose what they will be doing and how long the scene will last. I know, some of you do not like it when I analyze but it is the truth. Summed up...the actors do what they are told and directed to do. Some of us fans get the short end of the stick........ I agree AlaNurse. The actors only do what's scripted and directed. I'd be interested in your view as to why you think the writers have scripted their sex scenes in such a way that really doesn't maximise the opportunity for the romance/passion/fireworks, when they did for Ejami? Do you think it's deliberate and they will build to this, because it definitely seems the consensus across all fan bases that to date they haven't made all that they could of of their sex scenes. |

It's not just you. I have always said I am a Sami fan first. I love to see her different pairings. I loved her with Brandon. I loved her with Lucas and then when EJ came into the picture I loved them together even more. I never liked her with Austin. I thought they were so boring together. I feel the exact same way now with Rafe. I'm just not feeling it. I think Ali is such a great actress and Brian Datillo brings out so much fun humor in her and you can see there is a comfort level there. I think she and James Scott are Emmy worthy when they are in scenes together. That's why it's so disappointing to a Sami fan like me, that her character is being wasted on a pairing that doesn't have the chemistry and charisma that I think she deserves. |

I think what you said in the bolded part is most likely the answer. They haven't directed a WOW SAFE love making scene yet. Those are two great actors and have not given it all they've got yet. Galen was awesome with Sheridan and Fancy in Passions, so there has to be a reason that the director is holding back on Galen and Ali......... Maybe we'll all see why later on. |

ITA with your whole post. I too have watch Sami since the beginning. Not as much as I do now because then I was a teen and had a life. I loved her with Brandon and didn't like her with Austin either. With Lucas it took me awhile, but they grew on me. When EJ came to Salem that was "the couple" for me and still is to this day. I think they are just some pairings that are better than others(no offense to anyone). I know EJAMI fans will never forget their sex scene from last year because it was all that and more. If the writers and directors are leaning towards SAFE right now they need to give the SAFERS more than what they have. Not that it upsets me. |

I agree with you. I read an interview awhile back with Galen and he said that you learn your lines and stage directions as how you think they should be said and done; however, when you are in rehearsal, they will often stop you and say no, that's not how we want it said/or done. Do it this way. So, Alanurse is correct- Ali and Galen are just doing what they are told and how they are told to do it. I agree that for some reason the writers and directors have not yet given them that direction for their love scenes yet or the screen time. There is only so much you can portray to the audience in a couple of minutes. Maybe they are building to that type of scene more slowly than with Sami and EJ. That was a one time thing-- this is ongoing. It's hard to tell what they have in mind. |

It was a different type of love making than we had seen before. I think they are both scared of the future, too. Sami said she was afraid of being hurt and Rafe is afraid that Sami will find out what happened to Emily and be hurt in the same way she was. He was right-- they do have trust issues that they need to work through. |

That was a one time thing-- this is ongoing. It's hard to tell what they have in mind. I agree with you both and don't forget that Days have editors that edit these scenes, so although they do what they are instructed to do, it's the editor(s) that make final cut for what gets shown. For ex. When Sami and Rafe were fighting on yesterday's epi, the part where she tells him that he didn't really know her in that she's complusive and she's just being herself and that if he couldn't understand that, then they have no future--notice they are no where near the front door. However, in their very next scene, you see them at the door and he closes it telling her the he's not leaving. It would lead me to think that perhaps she opened the door for him to leave but then we get to see where he closes it. So, that's why I say they may be taping A LOT more than what we know, but when aired DOOL shows us exactly what they want us to see. |
