If this is the reason John & Marlena prevailed, I'd say things look good for Ejami b/c while everyone assumed Sami would end up w/Lucas (as they assumed it would be Roman & Marlena) - suddenly there is a new guy in town Sami has amazing chemistry with...aka EJ DiMera. Ask anyone who watched with Wayne and Dee...they were SMOKING back in the day and I never liked the recast of Roman..that is what killed Roman and Marlena. I don't think one has to do with the other, and for that matter, throw in Rafe, who lots of fans think Sami has great chemistry with. If this is the argument..then maybe fans thought Sami would end up with Ej until Rafe showed up. Also Wayne and John were not together on screen (only briefly because Wayne did a guest spot) so I really think Roman and Marlena's storyline would have won out if Wayne came back for good as Roman. |

Which was brought to light when Princess Gina was bought onto the show... Stefano brainwashed him to believe he was that priest..or do I remember that wrong? More memories implanted in his poor brain. From what I remember and read you remember that one wrong. but I'm right about the first thing  I'll have to do research on the second one...I know he brainwashed HOPE to think she was princess Gina and I know he brainwashed John to believe he was Roman, so I will have to dig a little deeper to find out if John was brainwashed to steal art for Stefano like Hope was. I don't recall if Stefano had John kidnapped as a boy becuase Steffi would have been a boy too the way the writers have this written. Stefano was a child himself when Santo and Colleen got together. I think Viv was covering up the fact that John was Forest so her would not get the inheritance due him..but can't remember. |

I don't think there are many fans who wanted Sami with EJ until Rafe showed up. Most Safe fans seem to be ex-Lumi fans or people who just hate EJ & want Sami with anyone else, even if it's boring Rafe. Also - why didn't Wayne return as Roman if they worked so well together? I have always thought Josh Taylor as Roman had zero chemistry with Marlena. Roman has certainly gotten the shaft on storylines the last few years. |

Let's see, from what I remember, John was given up for adoption because Colleen took to long to come back and claim her son and that is when John was adopted by the Alamains and given the name Forrest..it was believed that Lawrence drowned his brother in a pool and left him for dead...I am not sure what happened to John after that but somehow Stefano got his hands on him. |

I know that he got married and had two boys...he worked for awhile on Port Charles with his wife who also had a spot on Days in the early 90's. From what I remember, I think he was just done. I really think that Josh Taylor just doesn't work as Roman. Roman was kinda a rebel in his own right..I don't remember him as a goody two shoes like this Roman is now, but I was much younger. |

Respectfully, who are we without our memories...Memories make us who we are...John Black was noone..he was mindless and souless before Marlena did the therapy with him and discovered his "Roman" memories. He was who he was programmed to be and that was Roman and that is who Marlena fell for so his body was not Roman Brady's but everything else was and that is why Marlena fell for him. She fell for the Brady inside of him..inside his heart and mind. He certainly wasn't programmed to be a Dimera..if he were, who knows where these storys would be...but when John played Dimera last year..Marlena didn't want to love him and tried to leave him, but she couldn't give up on John...the real John who has a Brady heart and a Brady mind..that has always been true. finding out he is really a Brady is just icing on the cake and I am sure the family John is proud to have. |

I know the storyline of drowing in the pool was always there because Lawrence had a hard time dealing with it and I think Vivian always held it over his head. The rest..I am a little fuzzy on..but I thought Forrest drown as a child, so you could be right..maybe stefano staged it. |

This is all great info. on the show. I may go back & try & find some Marlena/Roman on YouTube with Wayne as Roman. |

I vaguelly remeber that I thought it was staged too by stefano to get him but I don't remember them saying why. But with the reveal(Santo/Coleen) it make sense why he'd want him! He felt his mom ruined his fathers life + what his dad said to him. And then who better to plant on Shawn Brady but his own nephew , thinking he's his son!! And since Stefano wanted Marlena back then so it al worked out. Imsuprised Stefano has never commented on it! It's genious!! He really is evil!! |
