He was programed, or BRAINWASHED to be Roman Brady and that is when Marlena fell for him. She uncovered his memories in therapy when he showed up in Salem and he didn't know who he was. |

I think the obvious similarity is that Sami & Marlena both fell for men under false pretenses...their heritage (John's & EJ's) was later revealed to be something other than what the women first thought (they both turned out to be DiMeras). |

There is a HUGE Difference...John was a victum of the Dimeras and Ej is not. Ej was playing with lives while John's life was being played with. |

See that is what I thought as well John was not this goody goody like Roman he did what he needed to do to get the results he wanted even if it meant bending the law. IDK either way the end result is the same Marlena ended up with a DiMera man and I believe her daughter will follow in her footsteps. |

There were actually couples that loved each other and had some family values. To me that is not boring at all!!! |

Regardless of who he really is, she fell in love with Him as "Roman" if he hadn't been programmed she would never have been with him!! He believed he was Roman. He remembered Roman's memories. He lived his life based on them. He wasn't John. IMO he was Roman!! The twist came when we found out he was programmed and wasn't really Roman (it was a confusing time) but everything he remembered was Roman(and that is who Marlena loved!! "the Roman " that was inside John!!IMO!! |

John was programmed to be Roman and had everyone fooled, even himself..he believed to be Roman, so he did everything Roman's way when he thought he was Roman...How I remmeber it, it was when he found out otherwise is when he started "bending the laws" |
