Without James on the show, it would be boring and uneventful. He keeps thing interesting (especially when he is bad). He is a rival to be dealt with as far as Sami and the rest of Salem is concerned. I honestly do not think there would be a show without him. I wish he had more screen time. |

It's not about James Scott its about the writers. James is fine but he gets way too much time on screen. The triangles need to stop, the vets back and s/l's more believable. |

I have been watching the show more than 30 years, trust me it was better years ago. The show is NOTHING compared to the s/l's filled with the veterans. |

I've watched the show off and on for 30+ years. I loved Tony & Renee, Bo & Hope, Kimberly and Shane. Back then they were the youngins. Lets give them a chance. |

I love to hate ej and I love to love him, there were a lot of good players, but since the series Sg James joined the game of alison also changed, suddenly Nheith days of our lives more worth watching as before. |

Honestly, did you watch in the 80's and 90's...Days was amazing then. I don't think one actor or character makes a soap and I think Days would be fine without him, honestly. I will give James Scott credit, he is a fine actor and is perfect for his role and he does a very good job at making me hate his character (almost too good). I think Days has many talented beautiful actors and actresses so it really puzzles me why he gets so much screen time. I would rather see Bope in a great storyline any day of the week. I TOTALLY AGREE! They give him WAAAAAAAAAAAY to much air time (IMO) they need OTHER actors on Days, like Roman, he needs a live interest (Not Kate) someone NEW, also what happened to ABE, Lexi & Theo? Thanks |

None of these youngins can hold a candle to them, they are good..but the writing blows! It's all about the writing, not the actor. ITA!!! I miss the old days!! Back when the good people of Salem (the Brady's, Horton's and their friends) always won!!And the Dimeras always lost!! I would rather he had less screentime so we can see the others more!! I wish they would focus more on Bo and Hope and some of the older cast! and I wish they had more screen time and less of this early 20's crap. It seems like the show is mostly E.J, Sammi, Rafe(sometimes) Stephanie, Phillip and Melanie and if your lucky you see the Couple's like Bo and Hope 1x a week!! It sucks!! |

Of course I can describe the show before EJ/James arrived. You had some great couples and storylines in the 80's early 90's. Then some where it all went wrong and I stopped watching for awhile. Since James has arrived and took on the character of EJ I have watched daily and I think he adds a value to the show that was lacking prior to his arrival. |

Not taking anything away from JS-- he is a good actor and one you love to hate, but the show needs more than one person monopolizing screen time. No matter how good an actor is, one person cannot carry a show. The show was better when there were a variety of good actors/actresses with more equal time on screen and sharing storylines. I would like to see DAYS concentrate less on the villainous and evil characters and more like they did in the 80's and 90's with some good family and romantic s/l. |
