And, who isn't deluded in Salem? They all live with/sleep with/claim to love people who have cheated on them, lied to them, tried to kill them, sent them to prison, etc. You can't make it long in Salem without a few delusions.

As for being delusional I've always thought he was kinda of delusional. Not just with not knowing Nicole was faking her pregnancy....but during his whole time falling for Sami. He tried hanging around her every second of the day when she found out she was pregnant with the twins. She was hateful to him, didn't want him to know about the pregnancy and always told him she would never love him, but hate him. Then the whole vendetta thing she looked pissed and even told him she was when she had to marry him. I think Stefano royally screwed his son up even more when he made Sami pretend to love EJ to give him the will to live after he was shot and then when he was back home in the wheelchair she was back to hating on him and sneaking over to her old apartment to have sex with Lucas. The worst part is EJ continued to try to get her to love him and I guess he thought she did when she slept with him last May, but no she quickly jumps out of bed and chases after Lucas and couldn't sign the annulement papers quick enough. And there's other times like when he "apologized" for the rape.... he said he thought he was making love to her (okay delusional) and don't even get me started on the hiding her newest pregnancy (yet again) and letting another man try to adopt the baby. You'd think by now EJ would get the hint that Sami doesn't and never really loved him or she wouldn't have done the things she's done to reject him time and time again.
