Days of Our Lives - MESSAGE BOARDS

I so miss Marlena and John, all the years I have watched days I just knew they would be the next Alice and Tom. They had been through so much over the years it just doesn't seem right without them helping their children through the Dimera problems. Especially after the loss of Grace! Sami needed her Mom, John and of course Roman. All of these new younger characters need the family guidance like we used to have with Tom and Alice. Days was always about family and getting through the tough times together with the support of the family. It seems like the heart of the show is gone. And where is Eric! He would be there for Sami! What do you think?

I'm going to be honest about this. John was never my favorite. I couldnt stand his facial expressions. The one eyebrow lifting on the constant, the off to the side look like Clint Eastwood....drove me coo coo....Marlena with the crying was too much. Not saying her acting was bad i just always thought her storylines sucked. But, i liked John and Marlena together. I thought they had alot of chemistry. My answer is no not really.

I loved her with Roman and I loved John with Isabella(who is/was his true love IMO). I remember when Sammi walked in on them in the boardroom I think I was in Jr. high or 9th grade maybe. I do wish they were still here though! Johnwould put Ejerk in his place and just that would make my day!! + This episode above all others they should have at least shown them call or something! Once again they prove my point that Mommy dearest sucks big time( I think she was a great mom to Belle but thanks to Stefano, Sammi and Eric lucked out in teh mommy department!!IOM!!

Funny I was thinking that today ....how many of the good old cast members are going ?? Now Chelsie and Max>what is going on?? Most of the new cast seem to be temps and not very good story lines. I have been watching Days so many years and I do know people come and go but I sure miss marlena and jon.

I too miss John and Marlena SO VERY MUCH. I only started watching Days during January 2008 and ever since then they have been my favorite charcters along with Anna, Tony and Stefano. I watch past episodes of them on youtube and i have to say that although i liked the old John i LOVE the new John. He was so funny and i loved him and Marlena together. I loved how he called her Blondie and not Doc cuz i find Doc id more Roman's word and Blondie is John's. I want them to come back very soon and help Sami with the loss of Grace and to help her with the Dimeras. Oh, and i want them to kick Sami out of the townhouse. She thinks it's her house, she changed the couch, the chairs, the lamps, pretty much everything and she even took off all the pictures of John and Marlena and she has sex with Rafe in
Marlena's bed EWWWW!!!!! I hope they come back VERY soon.

Does anyone know if and when they are coming back?
I totally agree Sami needs to get a new home for all the kids and she really needs her 'mum' to get through this pain from losing a baby.

In their time they were amazing, but they just lost something or the writers just didn't do them any justice. It surprises me though that the writes got rid of a couple with a storyline verses keeping Kate that has non except the obnoxious s/l of revenge that's getting very old already. They should write Kate moving to London and bring John and Marlena back from Switzerland.

No, not really. I agree with whoever said they were amazing in their time. But, the Marlena possession was my first strike against her. Then, the whole Salem Stalker storyline was ridiculous. So, Marlena never did anything to "wow" me. John, was ok. But, I agree with Sunny, the Clint Eastwood and eyebrow was annoying.
