He knew EJ was going to make the funeral about himself and that the chance for disrespecting Grace's memory by EJ was more than possible. Despite Sami's culpability she deserved the opportunity to mourn her daughter without EJ slithering up during Communion no less to torment her.

You are 100% right! Rafe was Grace's father. I would be scared if my baby's father was EJ...

Here's the million dollar question. would you be scared before or after you slept with him with no condom.

He wouldn't have had the chance if Ej would have been told the truth. She would have known her real father. Ej would have had the time to get to know Grace and he would have been supportive of Sami like Rafe was at the funeral. Sami and Rafe robbed him of getting to know and love his daughter. Rafe should have been a man about it and told Sami to be honest instead of talking her out of it all the all time. He still could have been there for her and Grace without trying to play God with peoples lives.

For starters Rafe was complying to Sami's request about not telling EJ. So dont blame him. When they were in WP she repeatedly told him she didnt want him to know.

Secondly i think EJ should have shown Sami some respect by trusting Johnny with her when she asked for him while he was in the mist of a kidnapping and murder attempt. Sami knows what he's capable of so instead of feeling sorry for himself he should be admitting he's been wrong and blame himself for the secret.

I'm not saying that EJ is perfect, but Rafe definitely isn't either. They all have flaws. I was just stating the fact that if they had let EJ know his daughter Rafe wouldn't have been the only father figure that Grace knew. And Sami did want to tell him many times and she was talked out of it.

Sami decided on her own to tell EJ. She also decided on her own not to tell him. Let's remember that it was Sami who rushed to the church on EJ's wedding day to tell him. However, when she discovered that he had ordered the hit on Philip she decided to never tell. She realised that a man who could stand in a church on his wedding day while plotting a murder was not someone who she wanted raising her child. I also want to point out the day EJ told Sami, "Just take your orphan and leave." To me that spoke volumes about his character. He took a a pot shot at what he believed to be an adopted child. Low. Very very low. Who does that?

Finally someone got it. EJ keeps complaining how he never got to know Grace, and that was really his own fault. He always claimed that Sami was a friend, and the way he treated his "friend's kid" was appalling in of its self. You just don't treat a "friend's" kid that way. It just goes to show why Sami didn't tell EJ, whether she was right or wrong in her decision.

As I recall it was in the middle of an argument. The story as it played out was Sami is in witness protection. She is away from her two toddlers for months. While she is in protective custody she decides to adopt an infant to bring home. Now we must suspend logic that you would have time to do that in protective custody, but it was a ridiculous premis in the first place. It was a smart alec remarke but truely if a someone you knew came home with a baby, like they picked up a new pair of shoes how would you react?

okay Will didn't know that she had given birth to a baby and yet he loves Grace. He has memories of her and Mia because he got to know her and wasn't involved in the kidnapping of Stephanie which I do think that Sami and Stephanie are both Bradys.
And just because EJ didn't know that she was pregnant because I believe that it was the mayor got shot on his doorstop when she went to tell him doesn't mean that he had to be rude. I mean adopted or not Sami loves Grace and knew that it would hurt her to said anything mean about Grace.
For I do agree about Rafe because Rafe is a more of a father to Grace than EJ is. Yes Sami wanted to tell EJ but I think that it would never end with them and they are always going to have scenes like that. And Sami had said that she wanted to give her child the whole stepford wives thing. But EJ always seems to mess that up because he is only involved with his problems.
And has make the whole funeral about him. Yes he would be mad but there is a whole another side to the story that EJ can't see.
