The Marlena/Stefano, EJ/Sami comparison (there is none)

I have seen several comments in different threads comparing EJ and Sami to Stefano and Marlena. I would just like to say that there is no comparison other then it is mother/daughter and father/son. It ends there.

Marlena NEVER loved Stefano. Stefano possed her with the devil years ago (it was very bizzare!). They never made love, they never had any children together, they were never a couple, fans NEVER wanted stefano and Marlena to be together. Stef called Marlena his "lady of the night".

EJ and Sami did/do love each other, have had hot passionate lovemaking, have children together (one conceived in love, I admit the first one wasn't!), tons of Days fans want them together. Sami is NOT Ej's "lady of the night", never was. These two pairings have nothing in common.

That is still up for debate... EJ yes... SAmi well part of her at least that's what I heard last. SHe's professed her love to Rafe more times than she's admitted anything to EJ. Yes they had sex.... that's all it was and it was through manipulation. I make the comparison because Stefano has always been obsessed with Marlena, much like EJ has been obsessesed with Sami since he came to Salem. As for why the writers put Sami with EJ in the first place... blame that on fans who love EJ and spam the message boards and polls. JMO.

That portion of your post is considered to be baiting toward the EJ fans of this site and is not tolerated here. Each fan, EJ fan or not, is welcomed here and they do NOT spam this board. It is meant for equal posting for those even if they have a differing opinion than yourself.

I guess I never thought of comparing them. I do think that they may be comparing Marlena/Roman to Sami/Rafe since their situations have been similiar so far. You are right, Marlena never loved Stefano-- he just kept kidnapping her b/c he wanted her. She never reciprocated those feelings. I am still not sure that Sami ever really loved EJ either. She never said it that I know of. Attracted to him, yes, but in love with him-- don't think so. JMO.

Good point Speechless. She has never admitted she loves Ej to him, but has never bothered to correct anyone who has asked her. Silence speaks volumes. ITA. In her head Sami doesn't want to love Ej, but her heart is saying something else.

Sami also said "I love you" to: Lucas, Austin, Brandon (am I forgetting anybody) and she is not with any of these men. So, I guess Rafe will be added to the list.

Remember the stairwell scene, they both said they can't imagine life without each other.

Well I'm glad you learned soemthing as memory recalls it's not the first time I had to school ya ... probably won't be the last But since we are talking about Sami on the soap DOOL ususally when Sami does not deny something she IS admiting it!


Wow I wish I had the gift of knowing exactly what's going on in a fictional character's mind. Let's see I've watched Days for 15 years...and usually when someone is thinking or ADMITTING something to theirselves, they usually talk to themselves outload... and WOW I've never heard Sami ever talk to herself about her great love for EJ. Maybe I the batteries went out on my perfectly good ears.

Not all the time does a character have to say something aloud to admit to it! While you may have watched 15 years I have watched 30 years but this is not a match on who has watched longer it's just anyone who truly knows Sami knows that when she is not guilty of something she vehemently denies it! But she has never denied her love for EJ when confronted by the people we both agree she loves her family and Lucas! Come on Lucas being the love of her life and all as some people have said wouldn't she deny her love for EJ to him..but hey again soapland is open to interpretation!

See that's simply not true. Sami has denied it. To Chloe and Nicole during the food fight. To Lucas numerous times. To Rafe. and How many times has she said EJ is the biggest mistake of my life. At least three times.. To Lucas before the WPP, to RAfe in the WPP and to the nun in the convent days before her baby was born. That's why its easy to interperet that she in fact never did or does love EJ.

Her actions clearly showed she did love EJ. It is fact she truly loved Autin and Lucas and Brandon. She said, out loud, over and over about all of them. This is nothing new for Sami to say she loves Rafe. They will have the same fate as the rest of the men she has said "I love you" too.

I actually would like to see Sami make it on her own for once. Why does she need a savior all the time. Now it is Rafe. I would like the writers to make her a strong women who can take care of herself and then find a man who can compliment her, not save her. The perfect man....EJ!

Yeah I don't remember a big fanbase for 'Starlena' or 'Mefano.' Ejami has dominated Days since the moment EJ dropped that towell...the towell hit the floor, & Sami (& many lovely ladies who chill by the cosmo fountain) hasn't been the same since.
