Twilight is NO Angel/Buffy...but its OK (i guess) (maybe the books are better?)


The books are much, MUCH better than the movie. I was somewhat disappointed in the movie because they left out some chapters altogether...

I know there is a twlight thread in the lounge.

I liked the movie my daughter is begging me to read the books so I plan to start the first one Friday!


I saw the movie & read the book Re the movie - Rob Pattinson was great choice; not sure that Kristen was the right fit for Bella. I am currently reading New Moon book.
Bryceson - you will enjoy the book!!


If you are reading New Moon, just a heads up if you didn't already know, (although you praobably already do) the New Moon movie is coming out 11/20. Can't wait to see it! It looks great!

bought all the books and just started, half way through the first one. Enjoying it.
From reading the posts, I am gathering that I should watch the movie first.
Any thoughts

Don't watch the movie first. The book is much better. You might be disappointed in the movie if you read the book first, but how many movies that are made from books are better than the book?

Can't wait for 11/20/09, saw a preview of the movie New Moon and it looks good.

I picked up the book one day just to see what all the buzz was about and got so immersed in it that it is borderline sickening I raved about it to a couple of friends and co-workers and they're all into it as well. My friend and I get together fairly often to have dinner and watch the movie (I, too, was disappointed in the movie in comparison to the book but the more I watch it, the more I love it) and we are thrilled to see New Moon in November. We can't wait!

The first book is great - much better than the movie. Movie Bella doesn't do justice to book Bella. I am having a hard time getting into the second book - maybe cuz it's summer time. Stephanie Meyer is a descriptive writer and sometimes that bogs things down.
