BIOGRAPHY
Thaao Penghlis was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and is one of four children. Since his parents immigrated to Sydney from Greece, he speaks both English and Greek.
He was encouraged to follow a career in drama by his then acting coach and theatre director, while he was studying art history and fashion in New York City. In fact, it was his New York stage debut was Off-Broadway that led him to a career in daytime television and movies. He has appeared on television numerous of times over the years.
Penghlis' loves to travel and his travels have taken him to the Sinai Desert and up Mt. Sinai. He is interested in archeology. Thaao is single and resides on the west coast.
