Bridget and Nick make plans to meet Sandy, Steffy’s photo shoot goes off without a hitch and Bill is impressed.
Steffy preps the photo shoot when Bill comes in to wish her luck. Katie, Brooke and Donna walk in dressed in their Hollywood glamour gowns and Bill is impressed.
Nick and Bridget discuss meeting the surrogate and after Nick wants to find out if Sandra has good childbearing hips, Bridget tells him she’ll do all the talking. Andrea calls and explains that she has a family emergency so she gives Bridget Sandra’s phone number directly.
The photo shoot gets underway as Steffy directs. As they observe, Bill tells Ridge he should be very proud of Steffy and Ridge appreciates him treating her with respect. Bill says she earned it by showing her loyalty and commitment to the company and hopes the rest of the Forrester’s follow her lead and embrace this opportunity. When they break, Katie asks Bill to join her for a photo and he obliges. Katie and Bill think the campaign will work and she reminds him about the caterers and leaves.
Alone, Steffy thanks Bill for giving her this opportunity and then asks why he did it. He tells her she came up with a great idea and sealed the deal with her vitality and enthusiasm. Before he leaves, he tells her not to rest on her laurels; once he knows someone is capable of perfection, he expects nothing less.
Donna runs into Justin outside Katie’s office and he asks if she thought about what he said. She tells him she is married and committed to Eric, but he’s having a hard time and that’s why he wasn’t here today. She adds that Eric also wants her to resign from the show, but Justin knows that’s not what she wants. He tells her she has to stand up for herself.
A nervous Bridget calls Sandra as Nick supports her. A disheveled and seemingly down Sandy (as she calls herself) answers and perks up when Bridget tells her she seems to be just what they are looking for. Sandy looks Bridget up online while they talk and Bridget tells her she thinks they have a lot in common and she seems like a healthier version of herself, as Sandy snacks on chocolate. Sandy is affected by a photo of Bridget and Nick and tells Bridget she has a good feeling about this and that everything has fallen into place. She wants to meet up and gets Bridget’s address for this afternoon. Sandy looks at a box of hair color and says, “See you then.”
Ridge begrudgingly tells Brooke and Katie he has to give Bill credit for recognizing just how special Steffy is. Katie thinks Ridge is coming around, but he is just happy for his daughter. Brooke and Katie think it’s all a good sign and Katie says Bill has a knack for igniting a spark in people, thinking he’ll do the same thing he did for her with Steffy.
Steffy comes to Bill’s office with the proofs from the shoot and he tells her she exceeded his expectations. He tells her to run with this, but she will be eating, sleeping and breathing this campaign or else he will fire her. Steffy thinks she’s seeing a different side to him: he’s tough but cool too. She says she’s cool as well and maybe one day he’ll be as cool as her. Bill can only dream.
