Rick is determined to get Phoebe back; Phoebe runs to Constantine for friendship; Thorne tells Eric about the engagement; Donna has Stephanie right where she wants her.
At Thorne’s house, Donna is taunting Stephanie with the rock on her finger. Stephanie is slinging insults but Thorne sticks up for Donna. Stephanie tries to convince Thorne that he’s making a mistake, that Donna may be fun for a couple nights, but she’s not the kind of girl you marry. She tells him, “There’s an emptiness in your life and you need to fill it. But not with this.” When Thorne tells Stephanie that he’s happy and he’s doing exactly what he wants to be doing, she throws Allie in his face, saying she won’t let him drag that little girl through this midlife crisis of his. Donna jumps in then, asking Stephanie if she plans to take Allie away from Thorne the way she took Brooke’s kids away from Brooke. Stephanie gets a look on her face like she’s figured something out, and urges Thorne to hear what Donna was really saying – that his “relationship” with Donna is all about revenge. Donna puts on the “appalled” face, acting like she can’t believe Stephanie would insinuate such a thing. Things heat up, and Stephanie gets violent again, this time trying to rip the ring off of Donna’s finger. Thorne jumps in and breaks it up. Donna tells Stephanie to stop treating Thorne like a toddler because he’s a grown man. Thorne proves his manliness by tossing his mother out on her ear, saying that until she’s ready to discuss things calmly he doesn’t want to talk to her at all. After Stephanie leaves, Donna calls Thorne her hero, saying nobody has ever stood up for her like that. They hug and she gives a devious glare over his shoulder.
Rick and Ashley are talking about Rick’s chances of getting Phoebe back. He tells Ashley how determined he is to make Phoebe forgive him. Ashley asks, “What if you can’t?” He answers, “Then I’ve lost two really incredible women, and that makes me the biggest idiot on the face of the planet.” Ashley tells him that in order to get Phoebe back he’s going to have to jump through hoops and he says he will because he deserves it. He goes on to say that what he loves about Phoebe is that she sticks to her convictions and she won’t back down. He says that when he saw the look on Phoebe’s face when she found out about him and Ashley he realized that he didn’t have respect for their relationship. “I’ll do anything and everything to earn her trust back,” he tells Ashley.
Nick and Jackie are in Nick’s office, working. Nick clearly has something on his mind. He asks Jackie if she sent Brooke a bird. She has no idea what he’s talking about, so he tells her to forget he said anything. Jackie uses this as an opportunity to tell Nick about Donna’s revenge plan against Stephanie. Jackie breaks it to Nick that Donna has seduced Thorne and now they’re engaged.
Constantine is working at Boldface, recording a song, when Phoebe drops in. He takes a break for a chat. She tells him she needs a place to hang out. He tells her that the website’s going crazy right now and it won’t be long before they find out who won the contest, which upsets her. The two sit and grab a drink. She begins ranting about all that’s happened with Rick and Ashley and Ridge. She tells Constantine that she’s worried about what will happen if she and Rick win the contest, saying she can’t imagine singing with Rick on stage. “I’m sorry Constantine,” she says. “If that happens, I don’t think I’ll be able to go through with it.”
Thorne and Eric are having a snack with Allie. Thorne tells Eric that he’s engaged to Donna. Eric is shocked, saying they haven’t been going out long at all, and wonders aloud how Stephanie will handle the news. But where exactly is Stephanie…?
Back at the studio, Constantine is recording a sexy song, with Phoebe watching on. She looks miserable, once again remembering all the great times she’s had with Rick. Constantine stops the music halfway through the song and sends the engineer out so he can talk to Phoebe. “I miss what we had,” Phoebe whimpers. “I’m just not sure we can get it back again,” leaving us to wonder if that "not sure" means she plans to give it a try.
Back at Thorne’s house, a barely-dressed Donna is sprawled out across the bed talking on the phone with Jackie. She tells Jackie how awesome Thorne is, sounding a little like she might be falling for him for real. Jackie says, “So Vegas was truly more than you hoped for…” and Donna agrees. The two go on to talk about Donna’s plan, Jackie loving every word of it. Donna is busy telling Jackie all about how she’d gotten more than she planned in her revenge against Stephanie, when Stephanie slithers her way into the bedroom. Stephanie unplugs the telephone, cutting off Donna’s and Jackie’s conversation so she and Donna can have a little chat of their own. Stephanie starts right in by insinuating that Thorne is using Donna. She says that the ring isn’t forever and hints that if Thorne really wanted to marry Donna they would have already been married. Donna tells Stephanie that she has nothing to lose and that she hopes Stephanie is sick every time she sees her across the dinner table. “This ring may not guarantee that I’ll have a lifetime of satisfaction and happiness,” Donna says to Stephanie, “But it does guarantee that you won’t.” Donna has Stephanie right where she wants her – and it’s finally starting to dawn on Stephanie herself. Another Logan sister in the Forrester family…that's Stephanie's, in Donna’s words (as she flings a thong in Steph's face), "worst nightmare."
