A new Royalty photo shoot gets underway, as Ridge wonders if he can work for Katie and Bill.
As Bill talks to the press, Katie walks in and is bombarded with questions and flashbulbs. They ask when they are setting their wedding date and Bill says the sooner the better.
After snickering about Katie being CEO, Brooke and Donna join the press conference and declare it’s a time of transition for them, but they are confident in Katie and will support her all the way. The press wonders why Ridge hasn’t made a statement and Bill says they will let Ridge’s designs speak for him. He also mentions the Logan sisters will play a greater role in the company and there will be a new Royalty shoot later this afternoon that they are invited to. He continues that there will be a permanent place for all of FC’s employees and he is thrilled to have Eric and Ridge on board along with their unbridled enthusiasm.
Taylor comes to see Ridge in his office at Forrester and notes the media frenzy. He bemoans Bill buying them out and Thomas and Steffy join their parents. Taylor wonders how Brooke and Donna are handling Katie being CEO. Rocco comes in to see if Ridge wants to be involved in the Royalty shoot, but he declines. Thomas wonders how Katie became CEO and Ridge says, who knows, maybe Katie will be the best thing to happen to this company; he’s just not sure of anything right now. Ridge tells his kids the company is their birthright and he won’t let Katie or Bill take it away from them.
Bill walks into the photo shoot and talks with Beth and Stephen about Katie and their upcoming wedding. Stephen thinks under the circumstances the sooner it happens the better it might be. Katie, Donna and Brooke walk in ready for the shoot and Bill places Katie in the middle of the sisters and puts a crown on her head.
Justin walks in the photo shoot and stands with Marcus. He calls him son and then apologizes for it. Marcus says it’s cool and says Donna looks like a beautiful queen, prompting Justin to recall their high school days when Donna was named Homecoming Queen. Marcus hopes Justin and Bill remember that Forrester is a family company and Justin says he is well aware of how important family is. They make plans for lunch for the next day and Marcus walks away. Justin then walks over to Bill, who says today a star was born, referring to Katie.
After the shoot, Bill thanks Brooke and Donna for their professionalism and Donna says they support their sister. Bill talks to the press about Katie’s vision and thanks them for supporting their new CEO and the merger. Brooke praises Eric and Ridge for their designs and then the girls are surprised to see their parents. The Logans catch up and Donna pulls her father aside to ask about Beth. Stephen says she has good days and bad days and that today is a good day.
Justin finds Donna who has changed into her regular clothes and they talk about the past. Justin wants to hear about all the missing years between them, but Donna says too much time has passed and they should leave it alone. Justin tells her she looks beautiful and that she was always the most beautiful woman in the room.
Katie and Bill smooch in Katie’s office and she marvels how everything is working out. Bill gets a call and tells Katie to come with him.
Ridge gets frustrated as he designs and Brooke comes in. She doesn’t want him to be upset about the shoot, but he’s upset about the whole situation. Brooke thinks he’ll find a way to make the best of it, but Ridge doesn’t know if he has the heart to work for Bill or Katie. Ridge notes Eric won’t even come to the office anymore because it hurts too much. Ridge feels like they’ve lost their identity and their soul, but Brooke thinks they can make it work. She urges him to hang in there for their future and their family, but Ridge feels like he’s dead inside and regrets handing Forrester over to ‘that egomaniac’.
Bill brings Katie outside to show her the new sign that deems Forrester Creations a division of Spencer Publications.
