Owen can’t get past what happened, Ridge fills Stephanie in on Beth’s condition, Stephen does the same for Donna and Katie and then asks Beth to marry him.

Owen tells Jackie he loves her, but what she did hurt him. He knows he needs to get past it, but he needs more time. He tells her it’s not about what she did with Whip, but that she didn’t give him a chance to explain before running to another man. He’s not giving up on their marriage and he wants it to last, but for now this is how it has to be. Jackie understands and Owen comforts her.

As Beth threatens Stephanie, Stephen comes in and asks Ridge to take his mother out of the room. Donna and Katie come in and wonder what’s going on. Stephen asks Marcus to take Beth out of the room and after they leave, he tells his daughters Beth is getting worse and the last few weeks in Paris, she’s been confused and agitated. He says the disease affects the short-term memory first, so she can’t remember things that just happened, but can recall details from years ago. Katie and Donna cry as their father continues to explain Beth’s Alzheimer’s. The sisters tell their father he doesn’t have to do it alone anymore and they will all band together.

Ridge takes Stephanie to his office and tells her what’s going on with Beth. Stephanie feels for Beth and how awful it must be to just drift away and not know anyone.
Marcus asks Beth what happened with Stephanie and Beth explains she doesn't want her daughters to suffer any more because of Stephanie. She wishes she could have done more for them.
Surrounded by her family, Beth tells them not to worry. She says Stephanie always brings out the worst in her, but she will protect her girls for as long as she can. She doesn’t want them to stop living and thinks there are many special moments ahead for the Logan family. Stephen takes the opportunity to try and make the family whole and complete again. He thinks this is finally the right moment to do this because time is precious and asks Beth to marry him. Beth is stunned, but turns him down. She loves him for asking, but she knows he wouldn’t be if it weren’t for her deteriorating condition. He pulls out a ring and tells her he bought it before they knew she had Alzheimer’s. He tells her he loves her and is not doing this out of guilt over the past. He wants to spend every moment making their days the best they can be. He urges her to take the ring and make him and their daughters happy. Beth’s kids urge her to accept and Beth says yes.
Brooke comes to Ridge’s office and tells him about the proposal. Brooke thinks it will be something good and positive, but knows she is losing her mother a little bit every day. She says there is never enough time with the people you love, which makes her scared about the two of them. Brooke needs him to make a decision about them because this might be the last chance he has.
