Whip comforts a devastated Jackie after Owen’s interview, while Taylor and Brooke find some common ground.

Jackie, Nick, Bridget and Whip watch as a cocky Owen tells the interviewer that his marriage is a ruse and thanks the customers for buying into it. The host is stunned that the marriage was a publicity stunt. Owen looks in the camera and says, “Surprise Jackie. I had you fooled, didn’t I?” He says Jackie was his cougar fantasy woman and that she got punked.

A furious Nick turns off the TV as a devastated Jackie stares at it. Whip assures Jackie Owen had them all fooled and Jackie leaves to go home and wait for her husband.
After the interview, a confused Clarke wonders what Owen was thinking, but Owen just walks away with a smile.
Ridge calls James at the cabin needing to know how things are going. James says it isn’t going as anticipated, but he won’t give up and is preparing a new technique.

Brooke and Taylor bicker over Ridge when James comes in wanting to get back to work. He gives the ladies padded tools to swat each other with if, as they try and resolve old conflicts, one of them crosses the line, but only as a last resort. The women bring up moments from the past and start beating each other up with the padded tools, as Ridge comes in. James is frustrated and says he can’t get anywhere with these women and his work is done. James leaves the room, as Ridge wonders why it’s so difficult for them to look beyond their rivalry so they can all live in peace. Ridge thinks somewhere deep inside they must respect each other. Taylor admits Brooke was there for her regarding Jack, but Brooke remains silent. Ridge recalls times when Taylor helped Rick when he was having problems as a child. Brooke thanks Taylor for that and Taylor is aware of how Brooke helped her kids in the past. Brooke admires Taylor for how she handled Phoebe's death with grace and dignity and isn’t sure she could do the same thing. Ridge is sure Taylor would be there for her if Brooke were to lose a child. He says they are a family forever bound by their children and history. James returns with a bottle of booze and they tell him they are starting to have a breakthrough and are working through their differences. James asks them to prove it by hugging and the women do. Brooke tells Taylor she is sorry for everything she’s done to hurt her and Taylor reciprocates. Brooke says it doesn't mean it won’t happen again and Taylor points out it keeps life interesting.

Jackie comes to Whip’s loft drinking the bottle of champagne she bought for her and Owen to celebrate his TV debut. Whip calls Owen a fool, but Jackie thinks she is the fool, wondering how she could have been so wrong about him. Whip tells her Owen is the one who screwed up because he made the biggest mistake of his life. Owen calls and tells Jackie he can explain, but Jackie doesn’t want him to come anywhere near her. After she hangs up, Whip tells her to put Owen out of her mind, but Jackie isn’t sure how to do that. As Jackie gets more upset, Whip kisses her and promises to get her through this. He says she is better than Owen, who doesn’t even deserve her. He kisses her again and Jackie responds.

A desperate Owen leaves a message on Jackie’s phone saying he can explain everything and that he has to make her understand what happened.
