Combining Jars of Sand. Friday, July 03 2009

Owen and Jackie are married, as Nick finds out they are in Hawaii, Ridge goes back to Taylor and Stephanie has words of wisdom for Brooke.

Owen tells Jackie everything is arranged for their wedding and she wonders if he’s sure about this. Owen confirms and Jackie asks, “What are we waiting for?”

In their room, Bridget and Nick talk about the beauty of Hawaii and then have some fun with each other in bed.

At home, Steffy and Thomas come upon Taylor who tells them Brooke thinks she and Ridge should be together, but Taylor isn’t sure that’s what he wants. The kids think Ridge is definitely ready for another commitment.

Stephanie comes to see Ridge in his office and they discuss what Brooke said. Stephanie thinks Taylor can give him the peace he needs and believes he knows that as well. Stephanie knows he loved Brooke, but it’s different with Taylor. She thinks it would be good for him, Taylor and the kids to deal with Phoebe’s death together as a family. She urges him not to waste another second of his life and Ridge says he has to go.

Jackie and Owen head to the beach for their wedding and say their vows, but Jackie panics that they don’t have rings. Owen’s got it covered and pulls them out of his pocket. Owen and Jackie combine two jars of sand to symbolize all that they are, were and want to be. As the sand can never be separated again, neither can their love. They are pronounced husband and wife and Owen kisses his bride.

Rick blames himself for her and Ridge breaking up, but Brooke thinks they can all heal from this now. Rick is sorry and someone rings the doorbell. Rick leaves and Brooke opens the door to Stephanie who is worried that Brooke doesn't think there will be another man in her life because Ridge is it for her, but tells her he has gone back to Taylor. Stephanie never expected Brooke to lose Ridge because of Rick, but life has consequences and her pushing Rick aside for other men for so many years ultimately cost her the love of her life. She takes no pleasure in Brooke’s broken heart, but she understands what she feels. She also understands that Ridge is where he belongs - with Taylor. She says Brooke’s era with Ridge is gone.

As Nick practices his golf swing in their room, Bridget reads a book on Hawaiian culture. She sees a picture of the wedding circle of flowers and recognizes it. Bridget finally tells Nick his mother and Owen are in Hawaii and that she saw Owen looking at a wedding circle of flowers like that one and Nick runs out of the room.

Taylor doesn't want her kids to get their hopes up, as Ridge returns. He says he’d like to come back home if they will have him. Thomas and Steffy are thrilled and Taylor says this is all Phoebe ever wanted and this is for her.

Owen has another surprise for Jackie: he’s going to whisk them off to their own honeymoon cove. He picks her up and puts her in a sand buggy to drive her down the beach, as Nick runs up and yells after them.
