Bridget and Owen run into each other in Hawaii, as Brooke ends things with Ridge.
Ridge won’t accept that it’s over between him and Brooke, but she can’t get past the fact that he was unfaithful to her. Taylor tries to justify what happened and Ridge asks her to let them work it out by themselves. Taylor goes upstairs and Brooke says she is glad he told her about Taylor, but it doesn’t make the betrayal any less. She thinks they are falling apart and Ridge reminds her it’s because of Rick’s involvement in Phoebe’s death. Brooke thinks it’s also about Taylor, but he insists he is in love with her. She tells him what he has with Taylor is beautiful and lovely, but what he has with her is tainted. She understands why he hates her son, but that means he can’t love her unconditionally because Rick is a part of her. Ridge doesn’t want it to end between them, but Brooke says they just keep hurting each other. They agree they will never stop loving each other and Brooke assures him he will spend lots of time with RJ, but he needs to spend time with Taylor right now because she can bring him peace. Taylor returns and Brooke tells them she thinks they need to be together right now. She tells Taylor to love and appreciate Ridge and give him everything that she can’t. She turns to Ridge and tells him she wants him to heal and for his grief to end. She asks Taylor to take care of Ridge and then says goodbye to Ridge. She leaves the house and crumbles to the ground in tears.
In Hawaii, Nick and Bridget layout in the sun listening to their iPods, which she thinks is preferable to golfing. Nick texts his mother wondering where she is and Bridget wonders which one of them is the parent and which one is the child.
Next door, Jackie tells Owen there is no rush for them to get married, but he wants to do it in paradise. Jackie asks after his family and wonders if this is even his first wedding. He says her family won’t be there either and assures her this will be his first trip down the aisle. Jackie gets Nick’s text and responds that she is taking a vacation.
Nick wants to go golfing, but Bridget decides to go jogging instead. Bridget kisses Nick and then thinks she sees Owen next door, but blows it off.
Stephanie tells Felicia and Thorne that Ridge slept with Taylor and Brooke found out. Thorne and Felicia are stunned and think they will never survive this and Stephanie agrees.
Owen introduces Jackie to a surf instructor and she goes off with him. As Owen watches Jackie in the water with her instructor, Bridget runs by on the beach. They are shocked to see each other and a horrified Bridget assumes they followed them there. Owen assures her it’s a coincidence and Bridget demands he not let Nick find out they are in Hawaii.
Bridget returns to her room and finds Nick who is done golfing and wants to hit the beach. Bridget panics and suggests they order food and watch a movie. Nick thinks they can do that in L.A., but Bridget insists and goes to take a shower. Nick looks at the menu on their balcony and sees something on the beach and gets angry. Bridget comes out and he shows her a boat that looks just like the Marlin. She’s relieved he’s upset about that instead of Owen, but then spots him and Jackie on their own balcony. Bridget distracts Nick with a kiss, as Owen does the same with Jackie as he brings her back in their room.
