Stephanie tries to clam an hysterical Pam, Ridge and Rick admit they were wrong, and Marcus makes it clear he’s still angry with Rick.
Stephanie is outraged that the Bakers think Pam is guilty, but Pam claims her innocence and agrees to answer their questions. Lt. Baker asks her about her crocheting and Stephanie wonders what it has to do with Rick. Lt. Baker responds that time will tell and asks to look around the premises.

Ridge tells Brooke, Rick and Steffy that he won’t risk alienating his daughter by preventing her from being with Rick. Brooke and Steffy think this will make all the difference between their families, but Rick doesn’t completely buy Ridge’s sincerity. He says this isn’t how Ridge operates and he thinks Ridge is buying some time while he thinks of another way to try and kill him. Ridge counters that if they remain at odds, then Rick can do more damage. Brooke doesn’t think Rick should question Ridge’s gesture of good faith.

Donna worries that the cops are back, but Marcus assures her they aren’t there for him. Katie says Owen is gone so if they want to question him they are out of luck. Donna wonders if they are there to question Pam. Donna hopes the cops lock Pam away forever, but Katie doesn’t think Stephanie will allow that to happen. Donna is hopeful Pam will finally pay for her crimes.

A uniformed cop grabs some yarn samples as Pam again defends herself. Lt. Baker shows her the note left on Rick’s desk and Charlie points out that the stack of surf magazines in the office is missing the one from November. They inform the sisters of the connection and the cop brings Lt. Baker some towels doused in lighter fluid that were found in Pam’s storage box. Plastic explosive material is also found and Lt. Baker sarcastically asks, “I suppose you’ve never seen this before either, right?” Charlie reads Pam her rights and Pam freaks out as the uniformed cops tries to handcuff her. Stephanie attempts to calm her sister down, saying she knows she is innocent, but that she has to cooperate.
The cops bring Pam down the hallway and everyone hears. Donna, Marcus, Katie, Rick, Ridge, Brooke and Steffy come out to see what all the commotion is about and learn Pam is being arrested for the attempts on Rick’s life. Rick spits out, “You tried to kill me?” But Pam maintains her innocence.

At the police station, Pam is brought in and explains that she was angry with Rick but she didn’t take matters into her own hands. Lt. Baker notes that she has before and Stephanie tells Pam not to say anything further. Charlie comes in with new test results that implicate Pam and the cop takes a scared Pam away.
The rest of the gang gathers around and Marcus tells them about the evidence the cops found against Pam. Steffy doesn’t understand why Pam would do this and Donna says Pam was being the protector of the family because she’s proved before that she will do anything for Stephanie. Ridge thinks she should have her day in court and Rick scoffs at Ridge defending Pam. Ridge just thinks it will be hell on his mother watching her sister go through this.

Donna sees Marcus in her office and asks if he’s okay. He just needed to get out of there because he couldn’t stand to see Rick with his hands on Steffy. He implies that if Pam didn’t go after Rick first, he might have. Donna tells him not to talk like that, but assures him she knows he is innocent. Marcus says his anger against Rick hasn’t changed and it probably never will.

Ridge thinks Rick owes him an apology for accusing him of trying to kill him, but Rick thinks it should be the other way around. They both half heartedly admit they shouldn’t have accused each other and Rick and Steffy leave to get some air. Brooke notes how happy Rick makes Steffy. Ridge doesn’t think it will last, but Brooke thinks if they find half of what the two of them share, then that’s more than people find in a lifetime. She knows that whatever problems arise, their love will always see them through.

Stephanie visits with an incarcerated Pam and tries to console her. She gently asks Pam to tell her the truth about everything and Pam promises she’s been taking her meds and that she didn’t do the things she’s accused of. Stephanie points out they have evidence against her and asks if she would try and kill Rick to protect her and the family? Stephanie tells her sister her actions are not only criminal, but they also 'smack' of insanity. Pam insists she’s not insane because her past actions were due to the scar tissue. Stephanie isn’t sure how she’s supposed to believe Pam is innocent due to the evidence against her. Pam passionately swears that she didn't do any of the things she’s accused of and Stephanie embraces her hysterical sister.
