The Bakers question Owen and pay a visit to Pam, while Steffy gets through to her parents.
On the phone in Owen and Donna’s old office, Brooke gives instructions to security about checking IDs and who should be allowed in to Forrester. Pam comes in and starts crocheting and Donna wonders what she’s doing there. Pam informs them she still works there making bags and purses and asks if they arrested Marcus yet. Donna says her son didn’t do it because he was with the cops when the car exploded, but Pam thinks Marcus could have set the bomb off with a timing device.
Charlie comes to see his dad and gives him a tofu dog, which Lt. Baker does not like! He tells his son to get him a real dog and Marcus tells his father to read the report first. The report says the match used to set the fire didn't come from Marcus’ office, but the letters used in the note came from a surfer magazine. They recall that Owen surfs and was fired because of the failed line he was working on and Lt. Baker thinks it’s something he can dig into. He calls Owen, who has just come in from surfing, and tells him he needs to talk to him.
Brooke goes to Rick’s office and they argue over Ridge. Brooke expects him to give Ridge the benefit of the doubt, but Rick isn’t feeling so generous. Brooke tells him he is wasting precious time focusing on Ridge when the person who really tried to kill him is still out there. Rick claims he is taking this seriously and points out that Ridge hates him because of Steffy and at the very least, he could be trying to send him a message. Brooke tells him his first priority shouldn’t be Steffy, but staying alive.
Steffy enters Ridge’s office and finds both her parents together. Both Ridge and Taylor want her to stop seeing Rick…today. The three debate the issue with Steffy saying she will not abandon Rick because she loves him. She won’t walk away from him and asks her parents to stop asking that of her. Steffy says she has to do this her own way and asks them to understand that. Steffy thinks it’s time to let go and that while she doesn’t want to lose her parents, she won’t be controlled. Ridge says they will always be there for her when her decisions don’t work out. Taylor also says she can trust them if things don’t work out the way she wants them to. Steffy knows she can always come to them and her parents reiterate they will be there for her if it doesn't work out with Rick – no judgment. Ridge says they love her more than life and they want her to be happy. Steffy is thrilled and hugs her father.
Donna starts packing up her things from the office so she doesn’t have to be around Pam. Donna says it will be temporary, but Stephanie comes in and tells Donna to get used to Pam being around. She makes comments about Rick’s guilt and Donna and Stephanie argue. Pam jumps in and says Rick is a little devil and he should be destroyed. Donna wonders who should destroy him, implying Pam might be guilty because of all the things she did to her. Pam says she wasn’t in her right mind when she attacked Donna, but Donna thinks she still isn’t.
Owen comes to the police station and they question him about losing his job. Owen says he’s angry Rick fired him, but he’s innocent and asks if there is any evidence connecting him to the attempts on Rick's life. They show him the note to Rick with letters cut out from a surfer magazine. Lt. Baker says he has motive and opportunity so it makes him the prime suspect. They question Owen and he says if he wanted to get rid of Rick he wouldn’t do it that way. He claims his innocence again and Lt. Baker asks if anyone else worked with him on the surf line. Owen tells them Pam did and they let him leave.
Charlie comes back with a new report that proves fibers on Rick’s desk match fibers in the note, the glue, and also a yarn used in crocheting. Charlie brings up that Pam crotchets and they list all of Pam’s past crimes. Lt. Baker thinks they should pay Pam a visit.
Steffy comes to see Rick, while he’s still talking to Brooke, and tells him about what happened with Ridge and Taylor. Ridge comes in and Brooke asks if it’s true that he won't fight the relationship anymore.
As Pam crochets, the Bakers come to the office and Stephanie opens the door. They say they think they determined who attacked Rick and they look at Pam crocheting. Stephanie catches this and says, “Oh my God! You don’t think it’s my sister?”
