The Forresters gather for Christmas, Taylor runs into Rick and Ridge separately, and Donna and Eric miss one another.

Stephanie puts an ornament on the tree as Eric plays the piano at the Forrester home. Eric asks how they are going to do Christmas without Phoebe. Stephanie says they'll just have to try - it's what Ridge wants!

Nick takes Jack from Brooke's house, leaving Donna and Brooke to talk. Brooke says it will be a very difficult holiday for Taylor. Donna agrees, saying they've all been praying for her.

Rick is kneeling beside Phoebe's tombstone crying, and telling her that the holiday means nothing without her. As he talks about how they'll all go through the motions, and how it should have been him who died, Taylor approaches, listening. She speaks, then, telling Rick that she feels the same way, saying, "She's gone, but we have to find a way to move on!" Rick looks stunned. Taylor pulls out Phoebe's baby blanket - which she used to use at night. Rick reads the inscription, "Our star will shine forever." Taylor says that's what she was - still is. Rick leaves to give Taylor time alone with Phoebe. Taylor tells her daughter over and over how much she loved her, and wishes her a Merry Christmas.

Brooke and Ridge arrive at the Forrester's house. Before joining the group, Brooke asks Ridge if he'll be able to handle this. Not sure, he leads Brooke to where the rest of the family is gathered in the living room. Stephanie and Brooke tightly exchange holiday greetings. Thomas and Steffy arrive and Stephanie asks where Taylor is. They say that they couldn't convince her to join them. Steffy says it's just too much, and she can't go there and pretend like Phoebe didn't die! Ridge says that's not what they're doing - it's just a way to start healing.

At Nick's house, Donna tells Marcus that Eric is going to tell Stephanie that they're back together after Christmas. Katie works on the tree, and Jackie, Nick and Jack arrive to celebrate Christmas. Donna gets on the phone with Eric and they vow that this will be the last Christmas they ever spend apart. After they hang up, Marcus and Donna look at a picture of their first Christmas together. Donna feels bad about those they've missed spending together, but Marcus assures her he's just glad they are together now. Donna and Katie talk and comment on what a great dad Nick is. Donna tells her sister she thinks Nick finally met the right match in her! Katie goes over and kisses Jack and Nick under the mistletoe.

As Taylor crouches down next to Phoebe's grave, she suddenly looks up to see Ridge standing behind her. Ridge reminds Taylor that their daughter is alive and celebrating Christmas right now. He says they should go and be with her, and at the same time, celebrate Phoebe.

Thorne asks Eric if it was Donna he was speaking to on the phone. Eric confirms that it was, and Thorne apologizes, asking when Eric will tell Stephanie. Eric says after Christmas. They watch as a star is placed on the tree that Hope made for Phoebe. Suddenly, Eric notices that Rick has come in with gifts for the kids. Eric wants him to stay and hand them out himself. As he hesitates, Steffy notices him and becomes angry that he's there. Bridget tells her that the lab results showed that Phoebe was attacking Rick while they were driving and that's why the car went off the road! Stephanie walks over to Eric and Rick. Eric says Rick is welcome and that is final. When Eric walks away, Stephanie calls Rick a SOB! Brooke is indignant! Outside the door, Ridge tries to get Taylor to come inside, but she won't. Ridge enters and looks at Rick - and sighs. They all gather around the piano and sing carols. Taylor slowly comes inside and joins in, embracing Thomas and Steffy, then Ridge. He points out the star on the tree to her. A framed photo of Phoebe sits on the piano, and Hope asks Taylor if she likes the star. Taylor tells Hope that it's perfect, and Phoebe is in the stars, and in this room, she's everywhere. "Merry Christmas, Phoebe."
