Bridget finally learns the truth and Ridge and Stephanie plot against Donna.
While Katie nervously waits and hopes for the best, Bridget tentatively asks Nick what happened on Catalina. Nick remains silent and Bridget demands he tell her what happened between him and Katie. Nick and Bridget get dressed, while Nick explains how everyone had a role to play in order to make Katie’s last days good ones. His was the one of a man in love, but Bridget says she never intended for him to pretend to be in love. She hopes he doesn’t feel resentment towards her for that because she doesn’t feel any resentment towards him. Nick says she might because he did something wrong. Nick admits he allowed himself to get caught up in the moment with Katie. He assures Bridget that both he and Katie love her and Bridget asks if he slept with her. Nick admits he did and Bridget is furious! She calls herself a fool and wonders how she thought she could trust him again. Nick tries to explain, saying it was about Katie’s happiness and how they thought Katie was going to die. Bridget says she wanted something sweet, innocent and pure so he could make Katie’s last remaining days filled with happiness and joy. She can’t believe he interpreted that as him having sex with her. Nick apologizes saying he never wanted to hurt her, but Bridget says, then he should have kept his pants on! Bridget wonders if he’s now going to tell her that he’s in love and wants to be with Katie, like he did with Brooke. She tells him she won’t play the fool this time though, but Nick says it’s not that way. Bridget accuses him of not respecting her and Nick admits he made a mistake. Bridget asks why he didn’t tell her in the first place and goes on a rampage about how and when he could have told her. Nick interrupts her, bluntly saying, “Katie’s pregnant.”
Still in bed, Donna stops Owen telling him it wouldn’t be right. Owen says he’ll stop if it’s what she really wants and Donna apologetically tells him she’s not ready. She thinks Eric could wake up from his coma tomorrow and tells Owen that Eric is the love of her life.
With Eric seemingly back in his coma, Ridge comes to the hospital and Stephanie tells him that Eric woke up. Stephanie says she thinks he is on the road to recovery and she wants to bring him home. Ridge suggests they get Donna’s permission first, but Stephanie nixes that idea. She tells a stunned Ridge what she saw and says she doesn't want Donna anywhere near Eric. She just wants to get him home to the family who really loves him.
Ridge calls Donna and asks her to come to the hospital. He wants to talk to her about something other than Eric. After he hangs up, Stephanie asks Ridge to handle it because she doesn’t think she can trust herself alone with Donna right now.
Donna comes to the hospital and Ridge brings up Forrester Creations, saying the spring show is coming up in Paris and suggests she take Eric’s place there. He says Eric’s wife being there would reassure the buyers, but Donna doesn’t think she can leave Eric now. Ridge tells her it’s her chance to be the CEO she claims to be and she agrees. Ridge suggests she take Marcus and Owen with her and Donna says Marcus is needed here, but Owen should come along. She thanks Ridge and says maybe when she gets back they can discuss him coming back to the company. After she leaves, Ridge says, “No Donna, when you come back, I pray that Dad will be well and you will be out of our lives for good.”
Stephanie tells Ridge she will forge Donna’s signature so they can bring Eric home while Donna is out of town. Ridge thinks that may come back to bite Steph in the butt, but Steph is willing to take that risk. Ridge says they will be able to bring Eric home so he can be with the woman who really loves him.
Donna sits by Eric’s bedside while he is still unresponsive and tells him she’s leaving, but begs him to come back to her. She tells him she would wait for him forever, but if he can’t come back to her, she knows he would want her to find happiness. She cries as she kisses Eric on the lips and says, “Goodbye, my love.”
Owen boards the plane and Donna notes this is his first time on a private jet. Owen admits it and can’t believe he is going to Paris. Donna worries that she will screw up things in Paris, but Owen assures her that she’ll be fine and that Eric will be proud of her. He says Ridge must have faith in her as well, since he encouraged her to go.
The doctor tells Stephanie and Ridge that if all goes well, Eric should be able to go home soon. Stephanie tells a sleeping Eric that he will be home with his family who loves him soon and when he opens his eyes, he’ll be home.
