Katie talks to Nick on the phone who tells her that he’s meeting Bridget on the Shady Marlin. Katie wonders if he’s ready for this and Nick says he just wants his wife to know that he loves her. Nick assures Katie he will tell Bridget about the baby and that he’ll let her know how it goes.

After Katie hangs up with Nick, Brooke comes in saying she got a message that she wanted to talk to her. Katie says she hopes Brooke can understand and forgive her. Katie starts to explain and Brooke thinks she’s talking about her heart. Katie says, not exactly and then explains how she felt on Catalina Island with Nick. She says she never meant for anything to happen and Brooke angrily says, “Don’t say it,” but Katie tells her, “Nick and I made love.” Brooke is furious, but Katie assures her they aren’t having an affair and that Nick is committed to Bridget. Katie thinks Bridget will be able to handle it and says that Nick is telling her right now. She says something else happened and it’s important for Bridget to know about it. Brooke realizes that Katie is pregnant and slaps her sister!

Bridget and Nick get cozy on the Marlin and she asks if he’s going to whisk her off somewhere. Nick asks if she’s feeling anxious and she brings up Pam and points out how avoidable the whole situation was. Bridget says her dad isn’t doing well and doesn’t think there is anything anyone can do to bring him back. Bridget wishes her dad were here with them and recalls that he didn’t have high hopes for her and Nick’s relationship at first. Nick and Bridget talk about marriage and how they are a team. Bridget says they should make the Shady Marlin more passenger friendly with enough room for four people and Nick says all he knows is they will be together because he loves her and then kisses her. Bridget thanks him for bringing her out on the boat because it’s exactly the kind of escape she needed. Nick says they eventually need to get back to reality and Bridget knows this, but says she’s a control freak and wants things to be the way she wants them to be. She’s amazed they got a second chance at love and Nick says life can throw some curve balls, but they have to brush themselves off and move on. Bridget detects a change in his mood and asks why he’s so serious.

Ridge and Stephanie sit by Eric’s bedside and wonder if Eric will ever come back to them. Ridge says they should prepare themselves for the possibility that he won’t, but Stephanie says she doesn’t think she can do that and neither can Donna. Stephanie admits she underestimated Donna and says throughout everything, Donna has been completely loyal to Eric. Stephanie again blames herself for not realizing Pam wasn’t taking her meds, but Ridge says they all missed the signs. The doctor comes in and Ridge learns that Stephanie brought him in because he is an expert on coma recovery. Stephanie tells Ridge that Donna doesn’t know about the doctor yet.

At the house, Owen tells Donna that all charges against him have been dropped. Donna thanks him again for saving her and says she isn’t sure what to do now. Owen suggests she soak in the tub and he will make her something to eat.

After her soak, Donna looks at a photo of Eric in her room and recalls Eric telling her to go on with her life should something happen to him. Owen comes in with some tea and tells her that she doesn’t have to be afraid because he won’t let anyone hurt her again. Donna says Eric was so good, but she is not. Owen tells her she is a lot better than she thinks she is and there is definite sexual tension between them. Owen breaks the moment and tells Donna to get some rest, but Donna thinks she should call to check on Eric. Owen assures her he is in good hands and Donna gets in bed. Owen watches her as she closes her eyes and he recalls their kiss. He tells her he will be downstairs and to call if she needs anything. He starts to leave the room, but looks back at her and walks towards her. Donna sits up and Owen sits down on the bed. He touches her face and they kiss.

Alone with Eric, Stephanie tells him that she’s afraid because she’s never prepared herself to go on without him. She begs him not to leave and jokes that she will never forgive him if he does. Eric flutters his eyelids and Stephanie notices that he’s waking up. Eric says Donna’s name, but sees that Stephanie is sitting by him. Stephanie is thrilled and lovingly embraces her ex-husband. She tells him everything will be alright.
