Ann calls with startling news, Donna heads to Big Bear, Owen is free on bail, and the truth is revealed.
As they struggle, the person who attacks Donna tells her to stop trying to find out what happened to Eric. The assailant then drops Donna to the floor and runs out of the house.
Donna calls Marcus who is still with Owen. She tells him what happened and that she thinks it was Stephanie. She says she is driving up to Big Bear as they speak and hangs up. Owen urges Marcus to protect his mom and Marcus runs out.
Donna then calls Brooke and fills her in. Brooke is shocked and Donna tells her she thinks it was Stephanie and lets her know that she’s going to Big Bear. Brooke pulls up to Donna’s house, but Donna urges her not to go in. Brooke says she’ll be fine and hangs up.
Brooke goes up to the house and sees that Stephanie’s keys are in the door. She calls Ridge and tells him to track down Stephanie and to get over to Eric and Donna’s house immediately.

The Bakers tell Owen that his bond has been posted. Owen asks by whom and Marcus and Steffy walk in. Owen thanks them and Marcus says Steffy is the one who posted bail. Marcus and Steffy haven’t told the cops what happened to Donna yet and Steffy says she doesn’t want to implicate her grandmother because she can’t believe she would have tried to kill her grandfather or set Donna up.

At the office, Pam gets a call from Earl who tells her that Mrs. Forrester is on her way up to the cabin. He wants Pam to warn her about the bears, but also tells her that he stocked up on the honey she likes so much. Pam is shocked when she realizes that it’s Donna who is headed up to the cabin and not Stephanie.

Ridge comes to the house with Stephanie and Brooke tells them what happened. She then shows Stephanie her keys, who says she’s been looking for them all day. Brooke says they were in the front door, left by the person who attacked her sister.
Donna comes up to the cabin and sees the jars of honey. She recalls better times with Eric and gets sad.
Lt. Baker gives Owen his belongings and says that his paper work is being processed, but being out on bond does not mean the charges have been dropped. Owen asks to see the evidence against him to see if any details have been overlooked. Lt. Baker says he will see what he can do.

Steffy and Marcus come to the house and yell at Stephanie. Brooke says they should wait for the police and see what they have to say. Stephanie gets a call from Ann who tells her that she found a bag full of Pam's prescription bottles dating back to June. Ann and Stephanie both panic that Pam hasn’t been taking her meds for three months and Ann says, “We both know what happens when your sister goes off her meds.” Steph assures her mother that she will talk to Pam and then fills everyone in on what Ann just said. She says the medication stops Pam from posing as a danger to herself and others. They all agree that it doesn’t sound good.

Pam comes up to the cabin and tells an upset Donna that she’s there to go fly-fishing. Donna doesn’t want her there, but Pam says Eric said she could stay there whenever she wanted. She tells Donna that she would like them to have a heart to heart, but Donna says it’s too late for that. Pam says it’s never too late, “Look at Eric.”
Donna gets a phone call from Owen who asks if she’s all right. He tells her as soon as he’s released, he’s coming up there and lets her know that Marcus and Steffy posted his bail. She tells him that Pam is there and that it would be good to see him.

Owen is free to go and gets the police report from the Baker Boys which includes the toxicology report and a list of Eric’s stomach contents the night he was admitted. He learns nutmeg was found in Eric’s stomach and remembers tasting Pam’s lemon bars which included the ingredient and deduces that the drug was in Pam’s bars. Owen tries to call Donna, but only gets her voicemail. He rushes out to drive up to Big Bear.

Donna goes to the kitchen to make herself something to eat and Pam secretly turns off Donna’s cell phone and unplugs the landline. Pam gets out her lemon bars when Donna comes out saying there’s no food in the house. Donna passes on eating a bar saying, “God knows what you put in those things.” Pam says they are a peace offering and says it’s her own special recipe. It’s what she does best, offering people a little pick me up with a homemade treat. She then say it hurts when Donna mocks her and her lemon bars and pretends to get upset. Donna finally agrees and takes a bar.
Owen drives to the cabin and calls Donna again, but gets her voicemail. He leaves a message and tells her not to eat anything that Pam tries to give her. Owen then turns on the sirens, as he is in a cop car.

Donna hesitates and says she doesn’t like Pam or her lemon bars. She says it's not going to change and Pam says she doesn't have to be so mean. Donna says she will never like her or trust her and throws down the lemon bar. Pam still wants to talk and Donna says she’s weird and a little off. She says there’s no telling what she might do and suddenly realizes that Pam was the one who attacked her. She tries to back pedal and apologize for being so rude and turns around to see Pam aiming a shotgun at her. Pam tells her not to move and Donna says, “It was you!”
