Stephanie comes to see Owen, Beth and Stephen get closer, Marcus and Steffy enjoy the cabana, and Donna defends Owen to Brooke.

Stephanie comes to see Owen and he says he already confessed, so what does she want from him? Stephanie says she sees right though him and wants him to admit that Donna was in this with him. A very calm and collected Stephanie asks if Owen and Donna are lovers and Owen insists it’s just business between them. Stephanie doesn’t believe him, but Owen says Donna had no part in Eric’s poisoning. Stephanie says a deal could be made for him if he cooperates, but Owen says he can’t implicate Donna because she is innocent. Stephanie instructs him to tell the police that he and Donna are in this together because, “That’s the truth.” Owen insists he put the pills in Donna’s lingerie drawer because she rejected him. He thought he could build a life with Donna after Eric kicked the bucket, but he read her wrong because she turned him down. He says he put a lot of effort into her and he wasn’t going to walk away empty handed, so he framed her. Steph doesn’t buy it because she thinks he is in love with Donna and is trying to protect her. She thinks they’re both guilty of trying to kill Eric and assures him they will pay dearly for it. Owen continues to defend Donna and thinks Steph just wants Donna to be guilty. Steph wants justice and Owen gives up saying she’s going to believe whatever she wants to. Lt. Baker comes in to take Owen back to his cell and Stephanie tells Owen she will prove that he and Donna are up to something.

Steffy and Marcus hang out at the cabana in their bathing suits and they discuss the reasons why Owen would want to hurt Eric. Marcus blames himself for bringing Owen to town, but Steffy says no one could have known he would do something so terrible. Marcus says he owes Eric for what he’s done for him and Donna and grows concerned thinking about what Owen could have done to Donna. He’s worried that Owen got into Donna’s head, but wants to believe it’s all behind her now. Steffy says that she’s going to tell Eric what Marcus did for him when Eric wakes up, but Marcus insists he’s not a hero. Steffy says he is to a lot of people and then they get playful with each other and enjoy the cabana. Steffy almost feels guilty being so happy with all the drama surrounding them, but says Marcus is different than anyone she has ever met. Marcus feels the same and Steffy says it’s not easy for her to trust people, but with him it’s different. She feels lucky to have him, but Marcus says he’s the lucky one.

Stephen and Beth discuss Eric, and Beth is glad the family is all together. Stephen asks if they are truly together and if they are free of their past. Beth says there were forces they couldn’t control back then and Stephen admits he never felt like he could measure up to Eric Forrester. Beth reminds him that he is the man she married. Stephen says all he ever wanted was to be number one in her heart and Beth wonders if people really get second chances. Stephen says their daughters need them and the Logans can be stronger than ever before. He says they owe it to themselves to try again, but they can take it as slowly as she wants. Beth sees how much he has changed and Stephen says there is nothing stopping them now. Stephen says for the first time in his life he has let his animosity towards Eric go and that he and Stephanie have no power over him now. Beth is thrilled to hear that and Stephen says it’s his turn to hold the family together and even though they lost their son, they still have their daughters. Beth says the girls need him and she does too and they passionately kiss.

In Eric’s office Donna tells Brooke that she talked to Owen and believes that he is innocent. Brooke is confused and Donna tells her that Owen has fallen in love with her. Brooke is skeptical but Donna defends Owen. She says the guilty person is still out there and Owen is depending on her to find him. Donna goes through Eric’s desk looking for evidence when Pam enters. Pam says, “You should be behind bars with Owen, your partner in crime.” Pam is furious Donna is walking around free when the pills were found in her drawer. The sisters wonder how she knows this and she tells them Steph told her. Donna wants Pam to help her look through Eric’s papers, but Pam thinks the attempted killer has already been caught and she should be in jail right along with him. Donna says she didn't poison Eric any more than Pam did, but Pam continues to accuse Donna of trying to kill Eric.

After Pam leaves, Donna continues to look for evidence to clear Owen, but comes up empty. Brooke questions Donna’s belief in Owen and tells her sister to be careful recalling that he took money from Felicia to break up her marriage. Donna insists Owen was sincere, but Brooke just thinks he’s a really good con man. Donna won’t hear it and thinks the real culprit is still out there and wonders who could hate Eric enough to want to see him dead. She suddenly gets an idea and says, “Oh my God! I know who did this! I know who tried to kill Eric!”
