Owen is arrested, the Forresters and Logans do battle, and Donna confronts Owen.
All heck breaks loose when Owen confesses to poisoning Eric. After the Forresters and Donna take turns yelling at Owen, the cops drag him off in handcuffs.
Katie has a check up and makes sure that her appointment is completely confidential so Bridget doesn’t find out. After the doctor assures her everything will remain private, Katie brings Nick in who is wearing a baseball hat to try and hide his appearance and tells the doctor he is her baby’s father. Dr. Caspary checks out the baby and says he or she has a good strong heartbeat. She says Katie’s labs look good and the baby appears to be thriving, but tells Katie that carrying this baby to full term could jeopardize her life as well as the baby’s. She wants Katie to consider all her options and gives Katie a pamphlet on terminating high-risk pregnancies and leaves. Nick and Katie debate her having the baby and Nick points out that this pregnancy could be dangerous for her.
Donna calls Stephen to tell him what just happened with Owen and then turns her attention back to the Forresters who lash out at her. Battle lines are clearly drawn with Marcus, Bridget and Brooke defending Donna to all of the Forresters. Stephanie blames Donna for what happened, but Donna points out that Owen confessed. Stephanie says it’s her fault because she brought him in this house and Owen probably poisoned Eric for her. Stephanie accuses Donna of being in cahoots with Owen and says, “I think you’re in this up to your ears!” Donna defends herself and Stephanie asks if Owen is her lover. Donna insists she is committed to Eric and more battle between the Logans and the Forresters ensues.
Stephen and Beth come in and are caught up on Owen getting arrested and Stephanie blaming Donna for what happened. Stephen rails at Steph and the rest of the Forresters for having it in for Donna and Donna runs out of the house. Stephen continues to defend his daughter as the Forresters throw out theories on how and why Donna was involved. Stephanie and Felicia ask Bridget if there could be an antidote for Eric since the pills caused his condition. Bridget says it’s not that simple, but now that the doctors have the lab reports, it will help.
Marcus goes outside and sees Steffy. He catches her up on what’s happening and she wonders why Owen would do something like that.
The Bakers bring Owen downtown and question him about his past. Lt. Baker wonders why Owen confessed even though there was no evidence tying him to the crime. He wants to know what Owen’s relationship is with the new Mrs. Forrester. The cops skeptically question Owen about where he got the potassium chloride and why he did it. Owen says he did it for greed and he was going to make his move on Donna after Eric was dead. He plays up the con artists angle, but the Bakers don’t seem to believe him as they throw up their arms and leave.
Donna comes to see Owen and demands to know how he could do this to Eric and to her. She says she trusted him and accuses him of setting her up. He says he didn’t have anything to do with what happened to Eric, but he wants the cops to think he did. He tells Donna he’s not an evil person, he confessed in order to protect her. Donna looks doubtful, but he says he wouldn’t ever hurt Eric, but whoever did it is still out there. He says they could come back and try to finish the job and wonders what else they are capable of. Owen wonders who could harm someone as generous as Eric and set Donna up for it. He asks who would want to see Eric Forrester dead, as the faces of almost the entire cast are splashed across the screen.
