At home, Donna wistfully looks at Eric’s piano and sits down at it. Owen comes in and asks if she’s okay. She says she was just thinking that she can’t remember the last song Eric played for her. She says he’ll play again and will be the man who he was. Owen tells Donna that Marcus isn’t happy he’s back and Donna says she’ll talk to her son because if it wasn’t for him, Eric could be dead right now. She says they owe him and she wants to try to make up for how the family has been treating him. He says she can start by letting him cook her dinner.

Taylor comforts Rick as he thinks about his father. He asks her if she believes that Eric communicated with Ridge. Taylor doesn’t know, but says the important thing is that Ridge believed Eric asked him to turn off the ventilator because there’s no other reason he would do that. She says it’s only natural to want to help the people who you love, but it’s not always the easiest thing to do.

In Ridge’s office Marcus tells Steffy that Owen is back in town. Brooke and Pam come in and Pam wonders what they are doing there. Marcus and Steffy pretend it was a coincidence they were there together and Steffy says it makes her sad to be there and leaves. Pam gives Marcus a glare and then leaves as well. Alone, Marcus tells Brooke that Owen is back and is trying to get his hooks into Donna. Marcus presents his case against Owen and thinks he’s out for a bigger prize than the several thousand Felicia offered him. He says with Eric’s condition, Owen could be looking at millions. Brooke isn’t completely sold that Owen is a con artist and says they are all concerned about Donna and she needs all the support she can get. Marcus starts to suspect that Owen is the one who put Eric in a coma and remembers that Owen gave Eric a bottle of gin at the pool party. After some convincing, Brooke starts to come around on the idea and Marcus asks, what if the gin wasn’t the only thing in that bottle? Marcus wonders if Eric’s heart attack wasn’t a natural occurrence and asks Brooke, “What if Eric was poisoned?”

Owen comes back from the kitchen with a tray of food for Donna and they discuss the pros and cons of having once worked in a restaurant. Donna then gets sad talking about Eric and Owen asks her to tell him everything about Eric that makes him so wonderful to her. She recounts their history together and how through all of Pam and Stephanie’s attempts to break them up, Eric always cared about her. She was especially touched when he accepted Marcus as her son. She tells Owen that Eric wanted to put Marcus in his will and Owen says it takes one hell of a man to deserve to be with her because she’s remarkable. He says she needs to help Eric fight to get better by reminding him he has a reason to wake up. She doesn’t know how to do that, but Owen reminds her that she made him happy when he was miserable with Stephanie and says she put his swagger back in his step. Donna says Owen hardly knew him before the heart attack, but Owen says he knows her and the effect she has. Owen says she is very special and that Eric is a lucky man.

While Rick is in the shower, Taylor asks Steffy who is making her so happy, but already knows that it’s Marcus. They discuss how Ridge doesn’t want her to date him and Steffy sticks up for Marcus saying she loves him. As they talk, Rick makes a Tarzan yell and comes out in a towel saying, “Me Tarzan, you…Steffy?” He gets embarrassed and goes back into the bathroom. Steffy tells her mother she’s glad Tarzan makes her happy and Taylor wonders if now she’s supposed to say nice things about her boyfriend. Steffy says she's the only one who could change Ridge’s mind about Marcus and hopes she can do that for her, but leaves so Taylor and Rick can be alone. Rick comes out of the bathroom and gets playful with Taylor.

While Pam works at her desk, Earl, from the cabin sneaks up behind her. After some flirting he asks who he should talk to about the maintenance on the cabin. They decide that the new Mrs. Forrester wouldn’t be much help and he says it’ll give him an excuse to talk to Pam. Earl says he’s going to the hospital to visit Eric before visiting hours are over, but takes a lemon square first, which Pam seemingly tries to stop him from doing. Unaware, Earl eats it and then tells her that the bears up at the cabin are getting aggressive looking for food. He tells her to let anyone who goes up there know to lock the garbage in the garage, especially all the new bottles of honey shaped like bears. He wonders what anyone does with all that honey anyway and Pam says to herself, “You don’t want to know.”
