Storm freaks Katie out, Bridget and Brooke bond over Katie, and Beth has a session with Taylor.

Storm comes out of the water with his hand reached out to Katie and asks if he ever failed her when she needed him. Katie asks why he’s there and he says to save her. Storm tells her that no one will even want to look at her once the baby is born and tells her to come for a swim. He goes under water and Katie gets on the railing. Storm pops back up and says he promised her they’d always be together. When Katie hesitates, Storm says she has no one else but him and dives back under the water. After a few seconds, Katie jumps in after Storm. As Katie struggles in the water, Storm offers her his hand and says life is full of ugliness and struggle and he’s glad he doesn’t have to deal with it anymore. Storm goes underwater again and Katie follows him saying, “Take me with you!” She swims around after Storm trying to catch up to him and he turns around and looks like a demon. Katie gets scared and swims away from Storm. She breaks the water’s surface, but Storm tries to bring her back down with him.

In Taylor’s office, Beth talks about her depression and says she thought her life was over after hearing her diagnosis. Taylor thinks Beth sounds fearful and Beth admits she is. She says it was less painful being alone in Paris because she could convince herself that no one really needed her. Taylor says dementia is a cruel disease, but there is medication and there is hope. Taylor says people with depression are dealing with something so painful and hiding it is what makes it really sad. It can drive people do things they wouldn’t normally do. Beth wonders how depression got the better of her and Taylor goes into the medical aspects of depression. Beth says she felt spiritually empty and Taylor says depression is caused by stressors in life and sad occurrences that bring a level of grief that rips into your soul. Taylor thinks that’s why she enjoys her job because she can give people another soul to open up to and offer them some healing.

Still on the phone with Nick, Bridget tells him not to go see Katie after all. Nick wonders what Katie said to upset her and Bridget says Katie was just acting off and she didn’t want to be the only person who knew about it if something bad happened. Bridget suggests they ask Taylor if she would let Katie be Jack’s godmother. Nick looks panicked and Bridget says Katie needs someone to throw her a lifeline.

Brooke comes into the room after looking after Jack and Bridget says Katie seems to be feeling like she did after she lost Nicole. Bridget pulls out a book that metaphorically talks about darkness and light. Brooke likes what it has to say, but then changes the conversation to Eric. She asks Bridget if Donna knows she’ll have to make a decision regarding Eric if comes down to it. Bridget doesn’t think Donna can handle that right now. Brooke thinks Ridge will have questions and asks her daughter if she will answer them for him. Bridget agrees and Brooke starts to call Ridge. Brooke thinks if they can make the christening happen with Jack it will be good for the whole family and bring everyone closer together.

Katie snaps back to reality revealing her interaction with Storm was all in her head and sees Nick standing behind her. She cries and says life and their baby are both miracles. Katie closes her eyes and says, “Thank you for the blessings that rain down on me,” and then turns to Nick and says, “Thank you for the things you continue to give me.” She tells him no one can take what happened on Catalina away from them. She promises to love life and their child and take care of their baby as long as there is life in her body. Nick says they will get through this somehow and Katie hugs him saying, “Yes we will.”
