Katie tells Nick she’s carrying his baby, Brooke and Bridget discuss Katie’s weird mood, and Katie sees a strange vision while on the Marlin.

On the Shady Marlin, Katie tells Nick she hoped they’d never have to talk about what happened on Catalina Island. Nick says they didn’t plan what happened and points out that it never happened again. He says if anyone should be ashamed it’s him because he is the one in a relationship. However, due to the love that he felt and the love he believes she felt, he can’t call that a mistake. Katie says, “You will.” Katie berates herself for betraying Bridget when she thought she could trust her. Nick asks if Katie wishes it never happened and Katie says yes. Nick feels differently about that day and reminds her that he and Bridget were not engaged at the time and that Bridget never asked about the day they shared on the Marlin because she knows something happened and knows that while it was important to him, it’s done. Katie doesn’t think Bridget assumes they had sex and Nick says there’s no reason to tell Bridget and cause her pain. Nick thinks what happened between them was meant to happen and instructs her not to poison it. He says maybe it’s best he go home and Katie blurts out, “I’m pregnant.” Nick is stunned and Katie gets upset saying it will bring nothing but misery to everyone and it will kill Bridget. She thinks her baby will end up deformed because of all the drugs in her and thinks she only spreads pain and loss wherever she goes. She wonders how Nick can even stand to be around her. Nick tries to console her and tells her he loved her that day and this child needs no justification. Katie doesn’t think Bridget will see it that way and thinks everything she touches withers and dies. Katie thought she could keep the secret and let it live in a fantasy in her head, but they can’t hide from this. Katie says Storm died so she could live, but this proves the wrong person died that day. Katie tells Nick that she did this because she was selfish and Nick only gave her what she wanted. Katie lets him off the hook saying his hands are clean.

Brooke comes to Bridget’s house and learns that Eric was put on a ventilator. They discuss Eric’s condition and Bridget wonders if there even is a God saying bad things happen to good people. Brooke wonders what she’s talking about and Bridget tells her mother about her conversation with Katie and how she feels that if there is a God he’s laughing at her. Bridget explains that Katie is angry at life and depressed, which is normal for a person who has gone through what she has. Bridget doesn’t think Katie believes in anything spiritual right now and wonders if Nick and Taylor would let Katie be Jack’s godmother. Brooke thinks that’s a sweet idea, but they aren’t sure if Taylor will allow it. Bridget says if not, then maybe Katie can be her and Nick’s child’s godmother. Brooke is thrilled to hear she and Nick are trying for another baby. Bridget says this is the marriage she always wanted but didn’t know how to have. She then wonders if Nick talked to Katie because she confides in him. Brooke says a lot of women would be threatened by Nick and Katie’s closeness, but Bridget points out that Brooke was closer to Nick than Katie is. Brooke concedes and Bridget says all her worry did nothing to stop what happened before so she just needs to accept that whatever will happen will happen. Bridget thinks they need to find a reason to get Katie out of the house everyday and thinks she could help out with Jack more.

Nick’s phone rings and Katie leaves to go on deck so he can talk to Bridget. Nick answers his phone and Bridget says she hasn’t had the greatest day and tells him about putting Eric on a respirator. Nick says he’s sorry and that he won’t be too much longer. Bridget asks him to check on Katie because something is not right with her and maybe he can make some sense out of it.

Alone on the deck, Katie wonders what she’s done and cries thinking about the situation. She walks around the boat and asks God why he hates her so much. She asks what he wants from her and hears a voice call her name. She looks out into the night and sees Storm emerge from the dark water. She hears his voice say, “I’m here for you Katie.”
