Brooke and Ridge discuss the state of their relationship, Nick and Bridget discuss theirs as well, and Owen puts Felicia’s plan in motion.

Brooke looks through her drawers in her bedroom and Ridge comes in asking if he’s seen RJ’s monkey book. She hasn’t and he leaves to put RJ to bed. Brooke finds her and Ridge’s wedding album and Ridge returns. He sees the photos and says, “I remember thinking my heart had stopped when I saw you.” Brooke wonders if they will ever be that happy again. Brooke asks what happened between the two of them and Ridge points out that they are still together. He thinks everything is fine and they just need to make a few adjustments. Brooke wonders if they aren't connecting because they are overworked and tired or if they should really discuss why they are uncomfortable in the same room together. Brooke brings up Ridge’s treatment of Storm and Ridge points out her brother was mentally ill. Brooke then says she’s appalled at how he treats Donna and he says she impacts the business. Brooke thinks there was a time they wouldn’t let their families come between them and Ridge says they are still together in the same house and still love each other. Brooke apologizes and Ridge says they were both wrong. He playfully apologizes and kisses her neck until they start to get intimate.

Across town, Nick carries Bridget into their room and they notice some champagne and beer and a note from Katie saying the champagne is from Jackie and the beer is from her. Bridget thinks Katie could have a career in event planning and Nick asks her why she had Katie officiate their wedding. She apologizes for not telling him, but thinks Katie had so much to do with them getting back together and everything turned out alright. Nick isn’t upset and tells her he loves her. They grab a beer and toast to more anniversaries. Nick says he should have taken her to Rome and wonders if their wedding at the house was wrong. Bridget assures him she’s happy with their wedding and doesn’t need all that stuff anymore. She loves every moment of her ordinary life. She says there were so many things that went wrong the first time they were married because she counted on him to fill all the empty places inside of her, but she doesn’t want to do that this time. She says no matter where you go you’re still in the same old skin and it’s a much easier place to be. Nick hopes he still has the ability to get under that skin and they start to make out. Nick waits for Bridget as she gets ready for bed and looks at the note Katie wrote them. Bridget comes out in a skimpy negligee and they get romantic. After they have sex, Bridget asks if Nick needs anything. Nick says he needs to be a better man. He tells her he finally has the life he’s always wanted and the partner he’s always wanted, but he failed badly before and he must apologize to her. Bridget thinks that had to happen in order for them to get to this place. Nick says whatever he does and wherever he is, she is in his heart. Bridget smiles and says she knows this.

At Forrester, Felicia preps Owen on what to say to Donna. Since he is there after hours he should just say he came to get the money owed him. She instructs him to ask Donna about who sits at the desk outside her office and she’s bound to bring up that she’s looking for a new assistant.

In Donna’s office Pam is going over some details with Donna and lets her know that Eric is going to a fundraiser in New York without her. Donna is taken aback and Pam snidely says Eric probably just wants to make a certain kind of appearance, as opposed to another kind of appearance. Owen comes in and notices the way Pam talks down to Donna. Pam leaves and Donna says she has his check. Owen tells her to give it to that woman saying it’s her severance pay. Donna says she’s civil to Eric and she’s his former sister-in-law so she has to be put up with. She says she’s going to hire her own personal assistant and they discuss what type of person she should hire. Owen makes it obvious he has some experience and can be discreet. Donna tells him to come with her and they walk out of the office. They see Felicia and Pam and Donna tells Pam that she will continue on at the company as Eric’s assistant, but she will have her own – Owen. Felicia smirks and gives Owen a knowing glance.

At her desk, Pam gripes to Felicia about Donna hiring Owen and doesn’t think Eric will approve. Felicia says Eric will be away a lot this summer and Pam wonders how that will work with Donna being in charge. Felicia gets a mischievous look on her face and says she imagines Donna will do whatever comes naturally.

Back in her office, Donna wonders how everyone will feel about her hiring Owen considering how they felt about her bringing Marcus to the company. Owen says she should be able to hire her own assistant and points out that she and Eric obviously don’t need to consult each other on every move considering Eric isn’t taking her to New York with him. Donna thinks it’s strange he’s going without her especially since they didn’t even have a honeymoon. Owen thinks Eric has a reason, she just doesn’t know it yet. Owen just has one more question, “When do I start?” Donna tells him he already did. Owen starts work at Donna’s computer and asks what her password is, which is of course Honey Bear. He starts planning the next day with facials and training sessions for her, but Donna tells him what she really needs is to spend time with her family. She doesn’t want to waste her time lunching with “the ladies.” Owen tells her he’ll respectfully decline invitations on her behalf and she says he is exactly what she needs, someone she can trust.

Donna leaves and Felicia enters. Owen looks conflicted and says he intends to do this job for real. Felicia doesn’t care and Owen says Donna’s not a bad person. Felicia reminds him how much money he’s getting and Owen says he’ll get the incriminating photos, but asks Felicia to make it look like someone else engineered it so Donna will never know it was him. Felicia doesn’t care how it happens she just wants her family back.
