Nick proposes to Bridget, Katie and Brooke have another heart to heart, and Owen meets Donna, while Felicia takes note of their meeting.

Marcus comes up to the rooftop at Forrester and sees Owen talking to a couple of girls in bikinis. He asks the girls to excuse them and curtly asks what Owen is still doing there. Owen says he’s new in town and has never been here before. Marcus says he can’t have his friends just popping in to see him. Donna comes up in her bikini and Owen’s interest is piqued. He tells Donna he’s the one who found her. Donna asks if he is a private investigator and Owen says not exactly. Marcus asks Donna to sign for something and then leaves.

At a table on the rooftop, Ashley tells Felicia about going home to Genoa City for Victor’s wedding. They see Donna, Marcus and Owen talking and Felicia asks, “Who is that?” They talk about Forrester’s new fragrance and Felicia is outraged at the name, “La Donna.” Ashley thinks it might go over well, but Felicia asks her to drag her heals on it until she can talk her father out of it. Ashley leaves to go back to work and Felicia watches Owen and Donna talk.

Donna thanks Owen for taking an interest and he says, “I’m a sucker for a happy ending.”
Donna asks him if he’s ever done something he regretted and thinking about it made him feel like a lousy person. He doesn’t think they know each other well enough for him to answer. Donna says that’s what giving up Marcus was for her and thanks him for giving her a second chance. She won’t forget that he gave that to her and Owen says, “And after that. You’re going to be pretty hard to forget too.” Donna looks intrigued and Felicia curiously watches Owen walk away.

In Katie’s room, Brooke enters and says she just came from checking on Jack and she swears he knows who she is. Brooke then apologizes for their earlier conversation saying maybe she should be talking to Nick about it instead. Katie tells her not too because there’s nothing to worry about. Brooke says she’s seen the obvious feelings between the two of them, but Katie says they shared something special under crazy circumstances, but it doesn’t add up to a life. Brooke says falling in love for the first time shouldn’t hurt this much. Katie wants Brooke to understand that she’s happy, but Brooke doesn’t think it looks like it. Katie feels like the world is huge and she can do anything she wants. She says the doctors told her she can live at least ten more years and she’s grateful. She wants to feel both the good and bad and doesn’t want to regret or repress anything. Katie insists that she truly wants Nick and Bridget to be together. They gave her back her life and she feels in a way she’s given them theirs because through taking care of her, they remembered what brought them together in the first place. She wants them to be happy and if Nick is 100% committed to Bridget, then there are no more questions. Katie says Bridget will be a natural raising Jack and Brooke says it will be an answered prayer for her considering the doctors don’t think she can carry to term. Katie thinks about having a baby too, but with only possibly ten years left to live she wouldn’t want to check out on a kid like that. Brooke doesn’t like to hear her talk that way and Katie says she won’t do it anymore. She asks Brooke to take the back way out so Nick and Bridget can have some uninterrupted time together and Brooke leaves.

Downstairs, Bridget is on the phone trying to get a patient generic prescription drugs when Nick enters with bouquets upon bouquets of flowers. He tries to rush her off the phone, but Bridget keeps fighting with the person on the other end. Nick grabs the phone and says, ”Would you please give this lady her drugs. I would like to ask this doctor to marry me!” Bridget looks stunned, saying the proposal is out of the blue, but Nick says he’s just excited and they are lucky to have a second chance. Bridget thinks he’s been talking to someone and he admits he and Katie discussed it. Bridget thinks it might not be the easiest thing for Katie to find out that he asked her to marry him. She recalls that last time they got married they were trying to prove something and she doesn't want to do that again. She wants to wait until the time is right and he asks if she’s scared. Bridget says if she’s scared of anything it’s that he’s trying to protect her from something. All Nick knows is that he loves her and wants her in his house raising his son with him. Bridget says she loves him too and knows that he loves her. It feels right for them to be together day in and day out, but it’s hard for her to believe that it doesn’t have something to do with Katie. He agrees saying when Bridget first moved into his house, she was really self conscious about their past, but when Katie moved in he got to see her in the real world. He marvels at how she took charge and acted selflessly by stepping aside to let him make Katie happy. He says she makes him a better man and he wants to marry her and the life that they have. He wants her to go out in to the world and kick ass so he can proudly say, “That woman comes home to me!” He gets on one knee and opens a ring box. He asks her to marry him and Bridget smiles and says, "Alright.” Katie sadly watches from the top of the stairs as the two kiss and bask in their engagement.
