Owen leans on Marcus, Brooke questions Katie on her feelings for Nick, Nick and Bridget canoodle, and Katie tells Nick what he should do.

Nick plays with Jack in his living room as Bridget walks in after work. Nick tells Jack Bridget is the epitome of beauty and Bridget thinks he’s trying to talk her into something. Nick says he is and asks if she’s tired. She says not anymore and they kiss. Bridget comes downstairs after putting Jack to bed and they kiss and flirt some more. Bridget thanks him for the time she’s spent with him and Jack and they move to the couch to make out.

Upstairs, Brooke asks Katie about Nick. Katie says she and Nick are friends and he’s been amazing. Brooke thinks he gave her the will to hang on and Katie wonders what Brooke’s real reason for asking about Nick is. Brooke wants to know if she should be concerned for her daughter. Katie says, so now that she’s not on death’s door, Brooke wants to know what her intentions are? Katie assures her there’s nothing to worry about because she loves Bridget and owes her a lot. She knows Bridget is an exceptional person and so does Nick. Brooke believes she means everything she’s saying, but is still concerned because Katie has never had these feelings for a man before. Brooke knows from experience that Nick is wonderful and hard to walk away from, but Katie assures her she won’t hurt Bridget. Brooke is more worried about Katie retreating into her shell after letting go of her feelings for Nick. Katie insists she wants Bridget to be happy and Brooke hugs her, but looks worried.

Katie comes downstairs and finds Nick alone after Bridget went upstairs to shower. She sits down and tells Nick they need to talk. She tells him that Brooke is concerned about the two of them and she wants to tell him what she said and what she expects from him. Nervous, Nick takes a couple sips of his drink. When he’s ready, Katie tells him what she said to Brooke and then says she wants him to get back to his life with Bridget before she came along. She tells him to make a commitment to her because it’s what Bridget deserves and what he and Jack need. Nick asks what about her and Katie says she’s getting stronger everyday and says time heals all wounds. Katie says he showed her that life can be magical and defy all reason and logic. He saved her with his understanding and asks him to bring magic to Bridget’s life just like he did for her. She wants the fairy tale to end the way it’s supposed to and asks him again to make a commitment to Bridget. Nick gets up and hugs Katie as she tears up.

On the rooftop at Forrester, Marcus tries to get rid of Owen, but Owen says he put a lot of effort into helping Marcus find his birthmother, including fronting him the airfare to come to L.A. Marcus is grateful and Owen asks, “How grateful?" Owen says fate really smiled down on him and Marcus agrees saying Donna’s a great lady. Owen thinks Marcus has been trying to avoid “settling up” with him for his services, but Marcus says he was just laying low. Owen points out that now the whole world knows about his real mother, including him. Owen tells him he wants the money that’s owed to him for helping him track Donna down. He makes references to how much money the Forresters have and how high profile they are, but Marcus says he’s only working in the S&R department, he doesn’t have a trust fund! Owen says not yet and demands the $2500 that he owes him, plus a bonus. He changed Marcus’s life so he feels entitled to a little extra. Marcus says he’ll get him his money when he can and as far as their deal goes…Owen cuts him off and says he’s not worried about the particulars, but wants him to remember who is responsible for his happiness.

In his office, Eric fits some models with Tim, who just graduated from college and started at Forrester. Stephanie, Felicia and Thorne come in and after Tim leaves, show Eric the cover of Fashion Wear Daily, which has photos of him, Donna and Marcus on it, with the caption, “The Future of Forrester.” Eric doesn’t think it’s a big deal, but his kids think it’s serious. Felicia and Thorne are upset about what the press are saying, but Eric doesn’t think having Marcus work in the shipping department is the disaster they think it is. Felicia says it’s like in his eyes they don’t even exist to him and Thorne feels belittled and dismissed. Stephanie tells her children she’d like to speak to Eric alone.

Stephanie isn’t happy that Eric is at odds with their children and Eric asks if she thinks he’s being unfair. Stephanie says it was very gracious of him to accept Donna’s son, but then he’s always been very trusting when he’s in love. Eric defends himself and Stephanie says she doesn’t want him to shut their kids out and be angry with them because they hold out hope that the two of them will get back together. Eric can’t understand why they are so threatened by Marcus and says he had no ulterior motives by coming here, he just wanted to meet his mom. Stephanie reminds him not to neglect the family he already has in exchange for the new one he just received. Eric agrees, but says that Marcus is not a threat to the family.
