Donna has a surprise visitor. Thorne and Felicia chastise Eric. Bridget gets an invitation.
As Bridget moves out of the beach house, Stephanie moves in with the help of Felicia. Bridget tells her that she and Rick enjoyed their stay and thanks her for allowing them to use the beach house. Stephanie is in a good mood and says she was tired of rattling around in that big old mansion anyway!
In the hospital, Katie thinks back to her kiss with Nick, when suddenly he walks into the room. He starts pulling treats out of a paper bag, and finally gets a smile out of Katie as they decide to do a puzzle together.Katie and Nick work on the puzzle and Katie brings up the issue of Bridget moving in with him and Jack. Katie notes that Nick cares about Bridget, and she needs a place to stay, so why not invite her to live there? Nick looks distinctly uncomfortable! Nick says he’s concerned about Jack, but Katie says he would only benefit from having Bridget there! She expresses her desire to spend a lot of time there herself in the future – to be part of Jack’s life. Nick replies that she is welcome to be there as much as she likes. As they get a little closer, Bridget comes in. When Bridget starts chatting about seeing a rental sign on the way over to the hospital, Katie blurts, “Stay with Nick!” As Bridget protests that she and Nick haven’t had a chance to talk about this, Nick jumps in and says that she spends all of her time with them anyway, so why not? When Bridget runs off to re-route the movers, Katie tells Nick he should be happy – this is a good thing! After Nick leaves, Katie looks sad.
At the Forrester Mansion, Eric and Donna fool around a little before Eric takes off for the beach house to check on Stephanie. Donna jokes that she hopes he’s that thoughtful when she’s his ex-wife. He laughs and says he’ll see her later at the office. Just as he’s leaving, Marcus comes to the door and asks for Mrs. Forrester. Eric leaves and Donna starts talking to Marcus, who confesses that he doesn’t actually work for the catering company. Donna asks, “Then who are you?” Donna mistakes him for a tabloid reporter and goes off on him for crashing her brother’s memorial service the previous day. Marcus is stunned! Marcus tries to get a word in edge-wise and suddenly Donna asks if they’ve met previously. He tells Donna that he thinks they met before, but when he looks into her eyes, he’s not sure. “Are you my mother?”
Eric shows up at the beach house and gives the departing Bridget a hug. Stephanie notes that Thorne and Felicia have just gone up the road for sandwiches, and asks Eric to what she owes the pleasure of his visit. Eric says he just wanted to make sure that she has what she needs. Stephanie says she is doing great, and this was a great idea – to put a little bit of distance between her and everybody in the family for awhile! Felicia returns and says she thinks the distance is a good idea as well – why deal with Donna anymore than necessary?! Eric turns and gives her a dirty look! Thorne appears and he and Felicia gang up on Eric about trading in Stephanie for Donna. Thorne remarks that Donna comes with a lot of baggage. “And I don’t mean a little change purse!”

Marcus shows Donna a photo of himself as a baby and asks her again, “Are you my mother?”
