You Will Hear What I Have to Say!

Wednesday, May 14 2008
Katie shows up at Storm's memorial service with something to say!

A peppy Nick pops into Katie's hospital room, bringing clothes for her to wear to Storm's memorial service. "I'm not going to Storm's service," she says. Nick tries to guilt her into it, saying she'll regret not having gone to the memorial. Instead, Katie asks to see the room where Storm shot himself. Nick takes her. Fortunately, the room is empty. Nick helps Katie out of the wheelchair and she gingerly walks into the room. She hesitates in the doorway, and then slowly, very slowly, walks in and sits on the bed. She asks for a moment alone, and Nick steps out to give her some privacy. Alone, Katie looks to the sky and says she would've been all right with dying.

An image of Storm, reliving his last moments on earth, writing his letter to Katie, appears in the room with her. "I already know what it says," she says as he sets the letter on the table next to her. She sweeps it to the floor and says she won't read it. She's angry that he didn't let fate make the decision to let her go. "Your life is more important than mine," the Storm-image says, holding a gun. She tries to argue with him, but there's no arguing. "Live. For me," Storm says. "No, I won't. You can't ask me. It's monstrous," Katie cries. "I don't want to be saved!" She pleads with him to let her die and save himself, but Storm is resolute. "You don't want to die," he says. Just as the Storm-image is about to shoot himself and Katie screams to stop him, Nick interrupts, telling Katie it's time to go. Reluctantly, she agrees to go to the memorial.

At the service, Brooke and Donna are standing next to an enlarged photo of Storm, folding his jacket and laying it next to the box of his ashes. Donna doesn't want to scatter his ashes, and Brooke agrees that he should stay in LA. The pastor shows up and asks to stay, despite the fact that Brooke is ticked that their regular pastor wouldn't give a service for Storm since Storm's death was a suicide. Brooke invites the pastor to stay, however. Stephen then pipes up, suggesting that the pastor should talk to Katie. The mysterious young man with the wedding announcement who made flight plans yesterday comes to the memorial. He briefly studies the newspaper clipping of Eric and Donna's announcement, and then walks in. Eric and Donna meet him at the door. He watches them uneasily as they cuddle.

"You know what's sadder than poor Storm? Donna Logan trying to fill Mom's shoes," Felicia says, dishing with Thorne and Ridge in a separate room at the memorial. Donna figures out that they're talking about her and sends in Marcus, the young man with the newspaper clipping, to interrupt. After they leave to join the service, Marcus picks up a photo of Storm and looks at it.

Ashley is the first to speak at the service, saying she's not sure why she was asked to speak today, but adding that she hopes Storm's found some peace. Just as she's in mid-speech, Katie and Nick come in and quietly take a seat; nobody notices they're there. Stephen stands up and speaks next. "I'm Storm's father, although I was never really head of the family," Stephen says. "Do I feel responsible for what happened to him? Yes, yes I do." He encourages everyone who thought Storm was a disturbed individual to ask themselves if they would lay down their life to save someone else. There's a short slide show and the ladies quietly cry while watching it. Then Brooke stands to speak. "It was hard to lose my brother and it was hard to remember that the last words I said to him were in anger," she says. "But he forgives me. I know he does." She drives home Stephen's point that some people didn't think Storm was worth grieving over, but he was--she puts the reverend on the spot, asking if she thinks Storm should be in Heaven. "I didn't know your brother. You tell me his last act was not of hopelessness, but of hope," the reverend says, suggesting that she doesn't think his last act was a sin. Donna stands by Brooke's side and cries, pointing out that Storm was brave and unselfish in believing in a future that he couldn't live to see. She thanks Storm for giving her a love that made her strong. Just as Brooke and Donna say that Katie would agree with them in their pride over Storm's selfless act, Katie stands, making her presence known. "I have something I want to say," she says. "Please sit down. Everyone. You're gonna listen to what I have to say."

OK SO WHO IS MARCUS?

Posted by RAE23 at Wednesday, May 14 2008 12:22 PM

Marcus is apparently the child Donna gave up for adoption as a teenager. That should be very interesting especially considering that he is obviously bi-racial.

Did Ridge take the blame for shooting Grant Chambers and accidentally shoot Shane Mcgrath? I thought Rick shot Grant because he was a troubled little boy.

bbyr,

Yes, Rick shot Grant and Ridge took the blame because Rick was so young. Shane shot himself. Ridge did not shoot him

Yes he took the blame for shooting Grant Chambers because he loved Brooke sooooooo much. Shane accidentally shot himself so since Ridge was in trouble with the law for shooting Grant, he got scared and tried to hide the body. Ridge never shot anyone.

good afternoon everyone - luvda, you didnt see bridget because she caters on the side and she was actually holding marcus' tux for him. nice for marcus to see that his "new daddy" is and old man, his uncle was a nut job and with the exception of katie, his aunts all play "ring around the same flagpole"

Posted by Princess2 at Wednesday, May 14 2008 12:35 PM

Oh that is correct. Rick did shoot the person and Ridge took the blame, Can you believe the pastor not preaching the memorial service because Storm killed himself. That is just WRONG!! I think the new guy Marcus is Donna's son. Its about time for them to bring in some new faces, some new men so they can stop trading around, Nick, Ridge, and Eric... If I were Stephanie I would not even want Eric, They need to bring Massimo back for Stephanie
