It is a heart wrenching and tragic day for the Logan family.
At Ashley's house, Lt. Baker and the police investigate and ask Ashley questions. On the phone with Brooke, Ridge asks how Katie is doing. She says the doctors aren't holding out much hope, and Ridge warns her that she shouldn't let Storm leave. Ridge explains that he is going to tell the police the truth and Storm will be going away for a long time!
At the hospital, Storm begs a sobbing Bridget to find a way to save Katie! Brooke and Donna are outside the room begging the doctor not to take Katie off of the equipment! They plead with her to find a heart donor! Bridget meanwhile rails at her assistants to keep trying to find a donor - this is my Aunt! Storm overhears and realizes that they aren't going to be able to locate a heart in time to save Katie. As he and Brooke move into an empty room nearby, Brooke tells Storm he should be ashamed. Back in Katie's room, Nick tells Katie that long shots come in sometimes! Donna remarks that she has already survived longer than they had expected! She reminds Katie that she is the strong one in the family! In tears, Donna begs Katie to wake up. Bridget comes in and stands in the doorway looking dejected. Nearby, Brooke berates Storm for bringing a gun into a home where a woman and child live! She asks how he could do this to their baby sister! Storm cries, but does not respond. Brooke tells him it doesn't matter if it was an accident - the police are coming for him! After she slams the door to the room closed, Storm sits heavily on the bed and pulls out a small gun and looks at it. He sets it on the table nearby, then begins looking through photos of his sisters that he pulls from his pocket. When he comes to a photograph of Katie he breaks down.
Lt. Baker arrives at the hospital looking for Storm, but cannot locate him right away. Inside Katie's hospital room, Nick tells Brooke that Bridget just informed him that they are not going to be able to save Katie! Brooke collapses into his arms in grief! In the nearby empty room, Storm leaves an envelope on the bed, alongside of the photos of his sisters. He thinks back in his mind to when they were children, and all of the fun times they had playing and growing up together. He then remembers happier times they shared as adults. Back in Katie's room, Donna strokes Katie's head, as Bridget comes in and says she so sorry, but she just can't find a heart for her! Donna and Brooke try to say their goodbyes and tell Katie that they will all be together again someday. They all sob as Brooke takes Katie's hand and tells her she is so thankful for everything that she brought into her life. In a shaking voice, Bridget suggests that one of them should go find Storm before they remove the equipment. Just then a shot rings out! Brooke pushes through the crowd and into the room where Storm is lying on the floor in a pool of blood, clutching a photo of Katie. Nick and Donna come in behind her and Donna screams. Brooke takes the photo of Katie from his hand and weeps. Almost inaudibly she cries, "He gave her his heart! He gave her his heart!"

Do you really think they'll have a funeral? Will they send his body back to Paris or stay in LA with his sisters?
